my job is regulated by the state. we own two funeral homes. the state sends out emails every couple months with updates on certain issues. last week, i received an email and they, apparently, forgot to hide the list of recipients.

i have access to 800 emails of every funeral home/funeral director. i have some questions...

can i monitize this list? any programs you can think of that would benefit a funeral service provider that has an affiliate program. (think flower programs, advertising programs, lending programs etc)

i know the people didn't opt in to receive emails from me but if i import these to my Aweber account and schedule a broadcast to somewhat filter out the people who wish to be on a list and continue receiving emails from me, is that possible?

"hey i know you don't know me but i am a peer and we are in the same industry and deal with the same shit and have the same obstacles....i just wanna share some things that has benefited me at my funeral home and maybe it would work for your funeral home. check this out xxxxxxxxx! thanks".

just thought. any angles? i was considering to sign up with some mobile sms marketing platforms as an affiliate and somewhat promote how effective sms marketing has been for our firm (it has....its cheap and easy to navigate)....

thanks!

I think if you upload that list into AWeber your account may get banned because it’s a non-opt-in list.
Your best bet is to use a platform that allows sending to cold contacts and ask them to opt-in, which would then push them into your AWeber account.
    Good luck!

I completely agree. This goes against CAN-SPAM laws and could get your account suspended. Granted that the list is relatively small, it will likely lead to lots of spam complaints.

Sounds like you may want to consider running the list through Neverbounce or Briteverify to make sure that the emails are even valid first. Emails have a high turnover rate.
