Hello,

I understand and know that this is how email marketing and affiliate marketing should look like.
Let's assume that the niche is affiliate marketing via list building

1. Blog with high quality content
2. Optin form in the blog, content locking with optin form or any other method, but list must be build using blog.
3. Lead magnet in affiliate marketing and list building topic - solving lack of traffic and lack of high quality traffic to aff products.
4. In lead magnet I teach and show the steps how to properly start build the list and promote aff products.
5. In follow up I write more in depth about list building and giving some high quality steps/tips.
6. Second follow up is also with tips and steps how to make stronger relationship with the list and how to start selling aff products.
7. And next follow up would be actual affiliate link to aff product.

Okay, now some people buy the product, some not.
But what to do next? Continue provide info on list building and affiliate marketing?
Give more useful info and later again offer some product?

Also, how overall this plan sounds to you?

  • Your plans are good. You can also ask your list to JV with you to create something. So, your list should be more unique than others.

Yes yes, I have some plans to engage my subscribers more, but I still don't understand what to do, what to write after first batch of follow ups is sent. So i need to continue write about my topic and later again sell product and repeat the process over and over again with new content, new blog posts, new info. I am right ?
  • It all comes down to testing and measuring your results. That is what is nice about running a business. It's all a number game and when you can see those numbers and understand how to improve them we can move forward.

Yes you are right, but testing with my valuable customers seems not so nice I mean, what if some particular path (test of follow up series) is bad, it would hurt my reputation, relationship with the list. I am talking about follow ups, broadcasts, not about building the list itself.

Would be great to know the right follow up plan which worked, working and will work.
  • The first thing I'd differ with is your assumption that your list needs to be built from your blog.

For someone with no real market presence, this is really doing it the hard way. You end up relying on some combination of SEO and paid advertising. Either way, you end up relying on cold traffic (aka, 'total strangers')

Better to set up one or more landing pages with your opt-in offer and form, then look for ways to "borrow" other peoples' audiences. Things like:

    > Guest posting
    > Commenting on blogs, videos, etc.
    > Participating in forums
    > Publishing articles on social platforms
    > Publishing videos
    > ??? (Use your imagination - you want to position yourself and likeable and trustworthy by adding value)

Each time, link to one of your landing pages. For this kind of marketing, I like to use more copy than your standard squeeze page. Use the "Problem>Agitate>Solution" model, with the first two steps on the landing page and the last on the other side of your opt in (your lead magnet).

    On to your real question...

Don't go in with only one product in mind. You should have a whole list of products you can recommend. Using your example...

    > Domain registrar
    > Hosting
    > Autoresponder
    > Themes or templates
    > Plugins or apps
    > Books/ebooks
    > Courses
    > Etc.

Come up with a sequence for each product. Send regular broadcasts floating the various topics. If someone is interested, they can click for a "mini-course" around the topic. Three or four messages, then they either buy and get put on a buyers list for that product (so you don't end up pitching them on something they already bought) or back to the main list.

If you do the relationship building well, here's what you can expect...

    >Some people will never buy anything.
    > Some people will buy a product or two and wander off.
    > Some will buy everything you offer.

If one or more of the products you recommend offers recurring commissions, you could end up with a growing residual income.

Many thanks for your detailed comment/answer !
I think not only I will benefit from such respectful person knowledge, but many more warriors !

Yes, I totally agree with you that I need to use more traffic sources like guest posting, participating in forums and so on. I just think that using facebook groups and publishing content what leads into my blog and next into optin form makes subscriber super high quality, not sure if I am right though.

What you think about solo ads? Is it good source of traffic nowadays ?

About the content. I am not native English speaker, so it's actually impossible for me to write high quality content. What I am thinking is to outsource writing, follow ups, broadcasts and blog posts, actually everything. But question is, is there any good and talented writers here on WF or on upwork, which would write really good and interesting content?

I have red Andre Chaperon ARM ebook in which he is teaching how to write follow ups which would be super engaging and makes amazing results. Maybe I could explain to writer whole ARM scheme and writer could write such follow ups. (if you even know Andre Chaperon and ARM ebook )

      Thanks again !
  • I could have (should have?) included Facebook groups in my first list. Get the right groups, and you can find excellent leads. Any place where you can effectively communicate with your ideal prospects will work.

Sending people to your blog is a decent option, too. What I would do is not just link to the home page, though. Try to link to a post or page related to the link they followed. Remember, you're trying to make opting in to your list the logical next step in your prospect getting whatever result they want.

As for Andre Chaperon, I know of him, and people I respect speak well of him, but I'm not familiar with the ebook you mentioned. If you want to follow his method via outsourcing, you may want to provide your subcontractors with a copy of the book so they can follow it when working on your project.
