Your Experience with Amazon SES

Hello Everyone,

I hope you guys are doing well.... Over the past few years i came across different email infrastructures but amazon ses seems to be impressive but they have 62000 limit which seems to very low when it comes to bulk mailing. If anyone using that service here please share your experience regarding your open rate,,clicks and deliver-ability so that more and more people can get the insights of this service......

I look forward to hear from you guys.......

P.s Also tell if there is a way you can increase the monthly send limit from 62k to 100k or 150k......

    Amazon allows you to request increases, and you can get an account well over to 1M a day, with good data, good engagement and low complaints of course.

    Are you open to other options apart from Amazon SES? Because it have certain limitations as you have mentioned about the sending limits.
    To increase the monthly limit there are far better solution(s).

    My limit is currently at 100,000 sends per 24hrs. This happened automatically over time ... I never requested the increase.

    The only 'problem' I had is I was using it for transactional email too...that is, everytime someone signed up, it would send a welcome email. Unfortunately when people sign up with a fake or invalid email it of course bounces, and even at a low bounce I got a nastygram from them...despite quite a low bounce rate. I get they have to do this to protect sender reputation and deliverability...but it's challenge for transactional email.

      Well that sounds impressive thank you for your valuable input.It seems to work good with clean double-optin data or transnational emails... which means there is no scope for bulk mailing such as purchased or single-optins.....

    I used SES for a time, my open rates were way below what I got from aweber

    It seems like SES had a BIG problem inboxing to gmail ... don't know if this is still so.

    Anyway, I got kicked out of SES after one single spam complaint ... my guess is that by an unlucky chance the spam complaint triggered a review of my email content, which was not to amazon's liking . But maybe they review every account some time. If you send out things like sales emails, affiliate marketing links etc that are not 100% compliant with amazon TOS you will get axed with no chance to make a comeback

      When it comes to Gmail obviously it is not possible to land all the bulk emails into the inbox of gmail because they have spam filters which detects spam.... However the gmail inbox rate totally depends upon the spam complaints......

        Well spam filters is not something gmail-exclusive ... all the ISPs have it. Actually I now have my own mailing server and inboxing gmail was easiest of all, right from the start.

        So I'm still of the opinion that ses and gmail do not go well together for some reason

    I have used Amazon SES in the past... Their solution is Ok with 50k daily sending limit... But they suspend accounts easily.

      Thank you for your input... can you please elaborate further for what reasons an account might be suspended?

      Is there any other reason apart from suspension due to spamming.....?

    Request an increase and it goes up...

    Reason for this.. people bulk email spam on their system from Day1..

    If you do that, expect a ban hammer.

    well I have got my sending limit upto 1500 K emails per day Surprised
    yes that real
    just keep utilizing the SES allocated per day volume and increase your sending limit by sending to active valid emails receive less complaints and avoid high bounce you will soon get expected results.

    That limit increases as you increase. I have emailed MILLIONS on SES, but THEY hate BizOP...if they find your emails are too spammy or to much about Make Money...trust me they will drop you.

    It's A GREAT and inexpensive way to market... I love them... I don't use SES now because I have my own SMTP server that's almost as good, but back in 2014-2015 SES was my bread and butter. I email 1mil per day
