Low Cost Email Marketing For Over 2500 Subscribers

I have been using Mailchimp for my email list. I had right around 2,000 emails and no longer qualify for the free. We are getting ready to add approx another 500 emails to the list so I will be sitting around 2500 subscribers and am adding about 100 a month on average.

What is the lowest cost way to still send my emails to this large of a group? Mailchimp will run me about $45 a month with that many subscribers.

$45 a month is too expensive?!

There's always something like IMSC Rapid Mailer, which is a wordpress plugin and uses third part services to send email (Postmark, Sparkpost, Amazon, SendGrid).

You can try Active Campaign. Their Lite plan is $29/mo for 2500 subscribers. It starts at $9 a month for 500.

Why would we pay more for something we use approx 8-10 times a year if we can find a better deal?

Why would you use it so little? The point is to connect with your list... Cheapest is not always best. You could get a free account at listwire. Amazon Sendy 3 also seems very cheap. Also Rocket responder is 20 a month no matter the list size, but double optin only

Hello, If you can monitize your list then you shouldn't face problem to continue with MailChimp, GetResponse, SendLane, Active Campaign or whatever premium AR you choose. So think about this.

If you want to reduce cost you should use third part self hosted AR. Thanks :-)

I would not recommend free, as this usually comes with strings attached (like their ads shown to subscribers or the free service's logo at the bottom of YOUR emails).

Our list is for attendees for an event that's why we use it so little. It's only a list to let them know about the details of the event we do 4 times a year so really don't want to pay $480 a year when we only email out approx 4-6 months total and only 10 emails max in that time.

It could be worth shooting a few providers an email to see if they can accommodate you. Your use-case is quite fair, and the plans on offer don't support it very well.

i think $45 for such a small amount of list is very high you should go for other options such as aweber or i contact maybe their plans are more suitable for you.......
