use or sell my 20 million email list?

I just dont know what to do with it. Is adult/dating targeted. Male aswell as female. Might concider selling it. Or should i get an smtp and use it?

    It's useless.

    You can buy similar (maybe the same list?) on eBay for $5.

    The emails have been scraped off the Internet. Most likely 75% of them won't work at all.

    Nearly all the rest are people that didn't agree to be contacted.

    If you try to use the list, you will be making a lot of folks angry and some will complain to your hosting provider. In all likelyhood, your account will be shut down.

    Get rid of the list and don't waste another minute on it - it's spam waiting to happen!

    Instead, use your time and effort to build a real email list from the ground up in a niche where you can help people and give them value.

    I've never heard of a list of this size, its near on the populous of Australia. 2m maybe but 20m, I agree with Steve B it's probably worthless.

    Look on the other side, even if 200k end up being targeted, you're golden. I recommend you build a relationship and develop trust before you try to sell them anything.

    Considering that you have to ask such a question tells me you know nothing about monetizing data / mailing. You are never going to be able to just get a smtp and mail it...inbox that is. Even if you just wanted to put it in the spam folder, you would still fail. There are mailers that make 6 figures putting high volume into the spam folders. However, even to do that requires a strategy / resources.

    The fact that you appear to not know this, makes me question the validity of the data. Assuming the data isn't email only and I thought it was legit, I would want a minimum of 1 million records at no cost to test and verify the quality. As I totally question you as the seller to have such in your possession since you don't appear to know anything about the industry. Typically, good/quality data doesn't fall into the hands of novices.

    Sending bulk emails without opt-in permission is not good, people may feel disturb and it is useless.

    Did you build this list yourself and have everyone opt-in to it?
    If so, then market to it, if not - then throw it away.
