Begginer that needs a lot of help!

Hey ok so I am completely new to all of this, marketing, SEO, all of it. I am a 19 year old forex/stock trader and I feel that I'm losing the fun factor or trading. It's becoming a chore but I do love my cars. I am very well off and will have trading as a large source of income but I want to dive into marketing, CPA's specifically. My forex mentor, Kenny, told me to sign up and wait for approval from Adwork Media. I was accepted last night and I made my first campaign. (A $100 card amazon email submition.) Since then I have been posting the link all over YouTube saying you'll win big and stuff. I know this won't work and I know so little about this topic I was wondering if you guys can help me out at all on how to Market myself and get the links out there. I thought about buying adspace to get clicks but I have Bank of America and the site I tried to use doesn't alow BoA since they don't like out of country transactions. (Adhitz.com) If you guys could kickstart me or refer me to a place that can help that would be much appritiated! Thanks!

In general, I'm not a fan of email submits. They tend to be highly scrubbed and only pay a couple dollars.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a sale.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them. Which is what has overall worked the best for me. As they tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and it's fairly easy to cross promote offers on the back-end.

Some of the verticals I have done extremely well with are: insurance, education, debt, credit, mortgage, assistance, loans, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

The bulk of the offers that I promote usually pay $20-$40 per lead. However, I promote offers that pay more and less. But you really don't want to get to hung up on the payout. Because how an offer converts is as important and in some cases even more. You could have an offer that pays $9 and if it is converting at 2X or better of a $20 offer it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, you could have an offer paying $90 and if it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

Bottom line, it is far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

For the most part, I drive traffic to offers using 3rd party email data. Which is data that the users have requested more info or shown an interest in a specific vertical and have given permission to receive messages from third parties. So it's 100% can-spam compliant.

However, 3rd party data will rarely be as responsive as a highly targeted opt-in list you build yourself. But it really doesn't matter. Because you are getting the data much much cheaper and it is highly scalable compared to building your own list. The way that you make it work is to always be collecting / segmenting your opens / clickers - removing the unresponsive user. That way over time you are building smaller, but much more responsive lists. Essentially you are converting the data from quantity to quality.

Basically, I monetize the data using PPL offer because they offer the path of least resistance to generating conversions and converting the data to cash producing assets.

The data comes first in that I get data by vertical and then match the vertical to a relevant offer. Rather than I choose a vertical and try and find data. So for example, if I'm getting auto insurance data, I then send an auto insurance offer. If I'm getting education data, then I send an education offer, etc, etc... Then after a certain amount of time, I then cross promote the offers on the back-end to fully monetize the data.

Also, in almost all cases you want to test a sample of any data that you are planning on getting. That way you will have an idea of how long it will likely take to break-even and what it is really worth to you. Using the results, if they were not up to par for you...didn't convert as quickly as you would like, you could attempt to negotiate the price.

Online lead generation is a multi-billion dollar industry. Done right it can be far more profitable than many imagine. Everyone that I know that is in the business and knows what they are doing, for the most part, does 6-7 figures. While that may sound like a huge range, much comes down to one's abilities to scale and to cost effectively build/manage the infrastructure needed to scale.

Obviously, there is far more to it than it appears on the surface and it's not for everyone. I've been doing the above for over 16 years, so I'm quite biased.

    Anyway, something to think about.

Thanks man PPL seems like the way to go for me. Do you have like a link or something for me to go to to learn about it like how to get started doing those types of offers? I ask only because you told me what they are and why you like them in great detail but not how to do it, I know what PPL's are but not how to market them or even make a campaign for one. If you could "teach" me how to do well with PPL or send me a begginer link that would be great. Thanks! Great info anyway.

Yes, PPL is definitely a great way to go for the exact reason Diablo mentioned:

"This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a sale."

You might want to look into Peerfly or maybe CashNetwork. See what you think.

You can find PPL offers at most CPA networks. This is the simplest way to get access to them.

You can become an affiliate directly with the advertiser / offer owner. You can usually get a higher payout this way, over a CPA network.

Last but not least, you could develop your own offers and sell them directly to the end users. This requires more work and has more risk, but offers the most reward.

I've done all of the above. For anyone starting out, the first is the easiest.

Also, there is another member here that heavily promotes PPL offers. However, he uses PPC instead of 3rd party data. His screen name is badboy_Nick. So if PPC is more to your liking, you could search his posts.

Obviously, I'm biased to acquiring data, but it's not for everyone.
