One of the best investments you can make in your online business is a reliable autoresponder with good deliverability. I would go with Aweber and spend $19 a month. Mail Chimp is free but they do have restrictions from what I hear.

    Listen to Tyronne, OP.

    Bare essentials that you need:

    1. Shared hosting.
    2. Domain.
    3. Squeeze Page, or
    4. Blog with integrated newsletter.
    5. aWeber (newsletter).

    That's it.

You can get cracking for under $20, and it'll cost around that much each month.

Once you have that setup (including content), learn 1 free traffic method. Once you've mastered it, learn another.

I'd be careful about unknown email responders Only because, if we are all IMers with years - and decades in some cases - of experience, and knowledge, and wisdom, and we have not heard of Kingmailer, but we all advise aweber, or Mail Chimp, ya probably wanna listen to decade's worth of experience

Mail Chimp is free to 2000 subscribers. Learn that sucka! It is your free, dependable, email platform.

I'm building my list nicely through the platform, just sharing value and also selling my wares. Works A-OK for me.

Not only that, Mailchimp recently announced that many of the features that used to require a paid subscription will now be available with the free subscription.

I agree with John & Ryan above. There is absolutely no reason to spend money if you don't need to.

MailChimp's free service is great. I would stick with it. Ask for support, watch some more videos, and read some tutorials.

I used MailChimp when I first started. Yes, it does have a bit of a learning curve, but it's not so bad. And it does the job.

I know some people who make like $200k a month and still use MailChimp.

After I got my first 1k email subs I moved over to ActiveCampaign. You can get started there for like $10 a month. And I love it.

If you intend to intentionally violate their TOS, you can use it until you get caught. At which point, you will lose your account and whatever list you have built.

If you plan to send affiliate offers, perhaps you need a different alternative.

That is how free training works.

The provider is going to recommend services that are affiliate offers. So they make something from the training that they provide

Which is not to say that the training is not valuable because of such. It's just that the provider needs to makes some form of ROI off the cost of generating members.

Not to sound like an ass, but if you can't afford to spend $15-$20 per month on a quality autoresponder service, you probably aren't going to be successful. As it takes money to make money and if that small amount of money is a problem, you probably need to reevaluate your marketing strategy.

Learn how to get traffic first. You don't need an autoresponder until you can get people to your pages. Once you start getting traffic, use a paid email responder that gives you the first month free. Actually, get someone to give you their GetResponse refer a friend link and you'll both get a $30 credit, which will give your first 2 months almost free.

I already over that free month period. If only he is honest enough to tell us not to rush into siging up thru his affilate links that if we do not have enough capital to start, DONT START.

He Just forcus in telling us it is VERY CHEAP to get a web hosting, domain name etc, and a less then 15min work done daily but he did not tell us how much more thing we need to do and spend on in order to get it work. He did not mention it involved thousands, the costs he mention are all a few hundreds at most. And i am not aware hostgator will deduct ONE YR despite i chose ONE month. and he also tell us to PAY for max plan for aweber instead of using the trial.

Vertical response also have a free autoresponder plan...... mail chimp are known for having a fantastic inbox rate, but are really strict and can bring the ban hammer if you step out of line......running your email through an email scorer first is a good idea, mail-tester or any other free online tool can help, just get your score as high as possible.....its always worth sending a story email using strong open loops with no selling or affiliated links, then redirect to an article which expands on the story, and ends with an affiliate link....using Colin theriots viking/velocoraptor techniques will help you craft these to perfection....Google and YouTube this...........also extract your list on a regular basis, so if things do turn out bad and you get a ban (which they won't if you go by this method) you always have your list stored on your PC

Several mentions of Mailchimp in this thread. No doubt there are those who are using or have used their service without a problem. However, in the Mailchimp Acceptable Use Policy, it's clear that affiliate marketing is one of the activities expressly prohibited. https://mailchimp.com/legal/acceptable_use/

If you search this forum, you'll find plenty of stories of established marketers losing their Mailchimp accounts (and lists) without warning or compensation. Maybe the company's become more relaxed about this recently - or maybe those who use Mailchimp for affiliate marketing without an issue have just been lucky so far. You'll have to decide for yourself. Personally, if I were building a business selling Clickbank or other affiliate products, I'd be sure to choose an email management service that didn't prohibit that activity in their terms of use.

What a total mess this thread is!

Mailchimp has restrictions - this was explained YESTERDAY with the link to check out the official list of what is not allowed.

I don't think you understood the OP's question, please re-read and try again
Not sure why you posted that several times - the OP asked for something that may not exist. He was given alternatives and explanations. Apparently he signed up for MailChimp anyway...so not sure what the point was in asking.

And i am not aware hostgator will deduct ONE YR despite i chose ONE month.
HG does not do that. Sounds like you were choosing special pricing or not buying directly from HG. You seem to have signed up for a program you couldn't afford and didn't understand.

How could you pay thousands for a 'course' and not have $20 for an autoresponder? You may need to cut your losses and start over.

IMNewbie2017, I don't know how far you've got yourself into this mess, but if you're still paying every month for a course that's clearly wrong for you, you need to stop that subscription NOW. From what you say, the creator of the course is trying to get you to sign up for services via his affiliate links that you're patently not yet ready for - nor even fully understand.

In fact, if it's still possible I'd suggest you try to recover some or all of what you've already paid (if you're still within the refund period). Then take a step back and decide what you really need to learn - don't be in such a rush. There are plenty of experienced marketers here who can point you in the right direction without you needing to spend any more money.

    Hi Guys,

Reading the thread about affiliate marketing and Mail Chimp; I was unaware that they disallow affiliate stuff. I guess that is true

I do virtually no affiliate stuff. I sell my eBooks, audio books, courses and offer various freelancing and consulting services. If like many Warriors you go heavy on affiliate offers definitely do your due diligence on Chimpie and their stance on affiliate offers. Or, what constitutes affiliate offers.

In any case, I know the OP wants free but really, as you become more successful you will have to pay for Mail Chimp too when you hit that threshold. Keep that in mind.

Some people have been doing this for decades...But it never fails me to be amused by someone that has never made a few million online come out with an Affiliate Marketing class or a secret formula for XYZ..
