I know that there is no magic cure for emails going to the spam folder in gmail, but I was wondering if any of you knew how to prevent a specific type of warning I am starting to encounter more frequently on my emails. It is a big red warning and says this:

Be careful with this message. Similar messages were used to steal people's personal information. Unless you trust the sender, don't click links or reply with personal information

Whenever my emails receive this warning, all of the links are disabled in the email and the user has no way of accessing them unless they move the message to the inbox. Even if they move the email to inbox, the message will sometimes still show up.

I have all of my mailings seeded and have started logging which emails receive this warning and which don't, but I send from many different IPs and I mail many different offers/creatives, so there are a lot of variables and I can't seem to find a pattern. It is very frustrating!

Does anyone have any insight into this? Would really appreciate the help!

Thanks

I am seeing this for mail that I am sending out, so would like to find a way to not have the warning pop up, so that the people I am emailing can click on the links

I have a g mail address and i sent myself emails from the main address that i use for email marketing( not a g mail ) to my own g mail . It kept putting me in the spam folder and i just kept clicking "not spam" and moving it to inbox. After a few dozen it started to inbox that address and now my inboxing for blasts is phenom. just sayin.

What do you use to send your emails? What kind of contents and links are you sending?

I have my own mailing server and it was hacked once and used to send out a ton of phishing mails ...
after that I also got that link warning in gmail. After I cleaned my server and the spam stopped it took a while for the warning to disappear.

So maybe something like this is happening here. You should check

I mail on my own platform/own servers. I use 3rd party data and mail affiliate marketing type emails.
I am fairly certain that it is secure, but I support it doesn't hurt to double check with my tech team.

I am coming to the conclusion it is probably related to the content of the emails and the quality of the data. Just weird that this is happening all of a sudden. Maybe gmail is making changes on their end...

if you are using your own servers make very sure they are clean. check your IPs with senderscore. check if they are blacklisted.

if your data is bad and you get a very high number of bounces then you can get blacklisted very quickly. but if there's a warning about your links this definitley indicates that either your own email contain spammy links or someone abused your server to send out spammy links.
it doesn't just happen as you say.

Just remember gmail is a search engine... So they read your email. If your emails look like 50,000 other...well they must as be spam. SO make your emails unique AND check their spam scores.

Now if you are building reputation on a new IP for a SMPT or you own ERP... Mail users that know you. Use the same from email address... and do it slowly. It takes time to build a good sender score

NO BOUNCE and NO SPAM complaints will help a lot

Thanks for the response. What service do you use to check spam score? I've played around with a few in the past, but I assume gmail uses their own type of spam scoring metrics
