Double optin in Temail marketing?

Hello there,

I'm using instabuilder to create landing page and mailchimp as autoresponder, the issue for me now is the double Optin system set by mailchimp. So when a visitor optin he needs to confirm his subscription before he can receive an email with the freebie.

I would like to know if the double optin system will not affect the number of my subscribers so probably they will not take the confirmation step ?

    Yes, double opt-in will affect your opt-in rate. Some users for whatever reason will not confirm. The confirmation went to spam folder, they got busy and never got back to doing it, etc...

    I strictly use single opt-in for that reason, that way I get 100% of all subscribers. However, everyone has their own opinion and there will be those that tell you they only use double opt-in and why.

    In the end, you will have to make your own decision which way to go.

    Single Opt-in is better if you are in the IM niche.

    I myself do not use an autoresponder, but a plugin called MailIt, made by Brett Rutecky.

    No monthly fees and the open and delivery rate is so much better for me.

      It may be free, but the deliverability will depend on the hosting provider IP reputation. Some may be good and others will suck.
