Excuse my stupidity, but I just can't figure out the font/size selection in MailChimp. I pull down a template, and decide to add some text to it. I copy and paste the text in, and then want to render that text in the same font/size as the rest of the template. I highlight part of the template, and it says Time-Roman 12. Sounds good. So I highlight my pasted text and select Times-Roman 12. But it doesn't look the same as the rest of the text? WTF?

So my recourse is just to manually type in text I would have pasted. With my cursor set in the existing text, the new text takes on the same font.

Are there some instructions that lay out how the MailChimp text selection is supposed to work?

Hi Doug, i can't really help you with this personally, but have you tried watching YouTube videos for this? Seem to be quite a few that can help you out.

So try searching ''mailchimp fonts'' inside YouTube and you should find it with ease.

Thanks. I didn't find anything that obviously focuses on the specific question I had. My point is that the font selection on MailChimp doesn't seem to work properly. I see what font pre-existing text has. I add new text. I try to change that new text to have the same font as the pre-existing text, and it DOESN'T LOOK THE SAME.

Thanks. What this makes me wonder about is, when I paste in text, whether I'm really pasting in pure text (formatting free). If not, then MailChimp is going to try to apply it's own formatting on top of existing formatting, and weird things may happen. Weird things HAVE been happening. So I'll be more careful about this next time, and ideally it will work.

  • You can see the font size and background color, for each section to apply the preferences to all of the content blocks in that section.

    Access the Design Tab

To access the Design tab in the Campaign Builder, follow these steps.

    1. Navigate to the Design step of the Campaign Builder.
    2. Click the Design tab in the editor window.
    3. Click the section you want to edit.
    4. Set your preferences for the section, and click Save.
