Is this a bad strategy?

I have a landing page where after people enter their email address they are redirected directly to my affiliate offer. Do you think this is a bad strategy? Thanks.

Redirecting people to your affiliate offer after they drop their email is fine, as long as you give them whatever you promised them in return for droping their email.

  • This can be a fine strategy, as long as you are not making false statements to get people to supply their details. You want anyone signing up to be happy and not feel tricked. If they do feel in some way hoodwinked, not only will you not get a sale, you will also get them unsubscribing pretty quickly.

I hope this helps and all the best in your online adventure.

    Hi Spartan,

This strategy is ok but you will see high drop in conversions post email submission.

What you can do is to choose pre-populate offers which increase your CR and profitability as well.

The landing page in your sig says

    FREE SPECIAL REPORT
    to make $100 per day...
Are you saying that page does NOT go to a 'free special report'?

I have had poor results in the past. But what worked for me is getting their email and run the autoresponder. Sometimes people don't like to land on a paid offer where you have convinced the person to leave their email in return of a free gift...
