Warming up new IP address

EMAIL MARKETING

Hello,

I have a list of 5,000 at the moment and have just created a new IP address to send from. Do I need to warm up this email address first? If so how many should I start with?

Are the 5000 opt-ins you developed?

If not, are they opens/clickers you developed yourself?

With such a small list, why not just use an ESP?

The 5,000 have been active users that have asked to receive marketing emails from us. We are aiming to build our list so people are able to subscribe themselves.

We have created a new IP address so we can just have the SPF record for Aweber as they said this would help the emails to not go into the junk inbox. I was wondering if I needed to warm it up before sending marketing emails from it.

Use an autoresponder, they can take care of all.

I would also say to simply use an autoresponder. Your list is small, an autoresponder could take care of that real quick.
