How many autoresponder emails/messages/followups do you have in your sequence?

I was looking for a bunch of information on this in google but my search came up inconclusive. IMO, this is the next best place to ask/find information about this.

How many do you feel is ok for a sequence? What's the cutoff? What's stopping me from loading up 1,000 emails... is that unusual or unethical?

Thing is, I see plr autoresponder sequences of 52 or 100 emails being sold but is that ok? Would the typical subscriber read through all that stuff?

At what point would it make sense to broadcast if I had that amount (52) of emails loaded?

Does a subscriber burn out easier over broadcasts or automated emails? (I personally think auto lol)

Lastly, some prefer broadcast over automated because it allows them to stay more in sync with their subscribers. My personal opinion: I don't mind doing that but it is much easier to automate things.

Your thoughts?

  • There is no right or wrong answer towards this. What matters more is what kind of marketer are you.

If you love automation all the way, by all means, load all those letters into your autoresponder as long as they have been proven to bring you your income.

If you love that personal touch, writing stories on recent events, then the second approach will be better. You can load 1 week of autoresponder letters to 1 month of autoresponder. It really doesn't matter.

Regarding PLR letters...do you find value in reading those stuffs? Or you simply want to load them into your autoresponder sequence. If you do not like reading them, and you cant finish reading them yourself, chances are, your subscribers won't want to read it too.

Whether a subscriber burn out depends on the type of letters you are sending to them and the content. If you are constantly providing content which they want to know and learn more about, chances are, they will never get burned out no matter how often you send them emails

Personally, I load 5 to 10 automated series and I write one email a day to my list

  • That's a good question and I know a course that you can take that will not only help you set up ALL that but give you everything you need to do it as well. I am computer illiterate and within 24 hours I knew exactly what to do and had the majority of my questions answered. If you're interested in finding out more, let me know. Hope to hear from you
  • This question is simple. You're wanting to build a relationship with your subscribers. Yes, you can do it by sending out heaps of scheduled emails within your autoresponder. But best practices would be to schedule emails no more than 5-7 a week.

If you're sending out a course, I'd recommend no more than 12 days. Because, yes, people do get burnt out, and the most majority will read the first week from you and then start either skimming through them and eventually save them for another time never getting around to reading them.

And if you're using email marketing to promote products, you're not wanting to schedule too many products in your autoresponder. As you're wanting to promote fresh new products and occasionally promote products that people have forgotten about.

I hope this helps and this has helped me be successful in email marketing.

I'd probably unsubscribe after the 51st email.

  • Lol thanks a lot guys. I figured that the frequency of emailing your subscribers can be hectic if done every day.

I was really just trying to figure out if loading 100+ emails in an autoresponder is logical, like how Brendan Mace says he has in his sequence at this blog post.

I personally wouldn't mind reading 100+ emails, as long as they are engaging, they don't bore me to sleep and they aren't sent every day.

Did I lowkey just answer my own question?

  • My sequence never ends.

I provide insane value to my market and once past their 1st 90 days with me they almost never unsub after that.

The key is to continuously provide insane value. Then, only tell them about things that can really help them.
