Am I doing this right? Promoting Affiliate Offers Through Email Marketing

Is it possible for a more experienced marketer to check to see if I'm doing this right?

I'm up to the stage of advertising but I'm getting cold feet because of previous projects that haven't seemed to work out. I'm aiming at promoting affiliate offers through email marketing. But I'm giving away a good quality PLR as a bribe for the list. (Anyone is welcome to have it)

Is this done right I've been on this forum a while but I don't really post much, I was thinking maybe it's best if a good experienced soul on the warrior forum would help a struggling marketer get some results.

My landing page is this anyhow:

http://marketersmanor.com/index.php/freetutorial/

Feed back would be great, Sometimes it's hard to see the full picture when you've invested your own time and effort into it.

Anyhow looking forward to hearing back from some of you

There are plenty of people on this forum who will disagree with me, but I have never been a fan of giving away free things to try and entice people to join and engage on my list.

I approach email more from a direct selling point of view. Every email I send is selling something to the consumer. I hand pick offers, products and services that I know are good and sell them every single time.

I do not waste time giving away free stuff, building a relationship with my list, or any of that fluff. My goal is not to get to know or feel good about the people on my list. My goal is to extract as much money as I can from them selling products and services, go to bed, and then wake up and do it again the next day.

I am sure there is a case to be made in building a relationship with your list, like when you are a coach or guru or whatever, because then it would matter. For me, I care about brass tax only, and I approach email marketing in that way.

Instead of giving something away for people to join your list (Which to me feels like begging), just tell them why they cannot afford to not be on your list.

You might want to read some articles about human buying habits and psychology, once you are able to understand how people buying patters and habits work, its much easier to monetize them.

    I hope this helps...

      Thanks,

I understand what you mean, it's hard to apply, I've tried similar before and it didn't seem to convert in the end. I think I might need to improve my copywriting skills.

Is there any books you could recommend on those subjects on buying patterns and habit?

If not many agree here is one who does agree

My strategy is to use the squeeze page to lead to more information about a paid offer since it is the buyers I want.

Freebie giveaways just attract to much freebie seekers in my opinion.

Your our squeeze page will not be effective.
You need some copy and not just a blind offer like this.

Ask yourself 'why would anyone sign up for this?'

Why do you believe a squeeze page like this would work?

It's like seeing a 'car for sale' advert that reads:

    "Car for sale $1000"

If that's all you can be bothered to say about it.....don't expect anyone to respond....they won't.

Don't even think about advertising this, you'll just lose money.

For goodness sake just google 'how to create a great squeeze page'

I just googled that exact phrase and saw this that looks ok

How to Create Squeeze Pages: What Makes a Great Squeeze Page Design? | WordStream

It's not mine I'm not an affiliate I can just see that it has some info you'll find useful.

Come on man....you've got to put some work into this

Thanks for the advice, I used a template from a course I watched and it had a similar landing page, but I'm going to change the landing page and sell it more.

I'm going to redo the squeeze page again, it doesn't take long.

I honestly get stuck, I'm still trying. That's why I posted it on this forum this time. I also tend of over complicate simple methods I found which is why it's a bit basic...

      Thanks for the input

      Piss off.

      To the original poster:

helisell above has got it right.

Your squeeze page is way too generic.

Anyone signing up on your page will be doing so not having a clue what they are signing up for. You say it's a great freebie, but how can anyone know that if you don't at least give them an idea of what they are getting in return for their contact details?

      I wouldn't sign up.

If I did because I was curious, I certainly wouldn't give you a good email address and I would already have NO intention of opening any of your emails.

ProducerK above has also got it right.

Positioning is everything in this business.

Besides, who are you to offer, as you put it... "An Exact Roadmap To Systematically Conquering Any Niche Market You Want...."? if you obviously can't deliver on that promise off the back of your OWN work.

Sit down. Regroup. And ask yourself why anyone would follow you instead of the other, I don't know, million other people out there?

You have an important decision to make.

You can keep going on the path of MOST resistance.

Or regroup and ask yourself what DIFFERENCE you bring to the table.

I wish you well, even though it doesn't seem like I do.

I use instabuilder right now, I'm more in need of someone to write the copy, but I'm going to put some time into making a different squeeze that sells the offer a bit more.

If I struggle I'll keep you in mind, thank you for the offer

To everyone thats been kind enough to help me, I've changed my squeeze page up. It's not finished yet, I'm about to go to bed. I just finished the majority or it, But I'm wondering if I'm on the right track?
I took everyone's advice, I also changed up the PLR, I know people advise against freebie giveaway's but I went with this anyway. (Sorry about that)

But anyhow, the new lander is : http://marketersmanor.com/index.php/hybridslblue/

Any feed back on the new lander would be great. I'm about to go to bed, I had a long day at work and finished this just before.

Thank you again for everyone's input, I really do appreciate it. Wish me luck anyhow, I'll finish it up in the coming days.

P.S this is the first draft. It's nowhere near finished.

I need to fix the format and add a few things here and there. also that optin box's text is the template's default one. (haven't touched it)
