Hi there,

as one of our it guys left the fold i got some new things on my table i am absolutely not familiar with. we have a database of customers emails around 50K that get an email twice a month.
those a no subscribers to any sort of newsletters but we keep em updated about new products and its fine.

software that had been used in the past is OpenEMM.

went through the config and to me it looked quite complicated. Looking for an easy to use solution to sent out those emails.

The requirements are :

1. sending out 50K mails twice a month
2. newsletter list with unsubscribe function
3. smtp service with SPF / DKIM maybe dedicated ip
4. A/B testing
5. customizable html templates
6. scheduled sending maybe with calendar or date function
7. tracking function

Maybe one of you guys knows what could fit ?

Cheers

Steven

Are the emails you have all opt in or double opt in?
If they are, have you considered just using a standard ESP, like GetResponse, or Weber?

If the emails are not all opt in, you might want to consider setting up a basic self hosted Interspire system or MailWhizz.

Most of the contacts we have is opt in. Of course also plenty are not. The guy left me a smpt server setup that i am currently trying to figure out what he did. What i want to do is to set up a system that can be managed on the easy way of things. Currently especially the unsubscribe function with OpenEMM is giving my headaches. What i do not understand in the weber or getresponse pricing is the subscriber meaning. in case of cold emails means no opt in or double opt in subscription. in my noob words would explain it like this i have an email addy sent it out if the receiver doenst want to have anymore he can press the unsubscribe button.

If OpenEMM has the functionality that you need. Why not just hire a tech to fix your problems?

Get a small VPS and install mailwizz

Mailwizz will manage your lists, the subscribes and unsubscribes, you can set up your emails, add your own html templates, schedule mails for sending at a certain date and time, track opens, clicks and bounces and get hard bounces added to your black list automatically for better list hygiene

Send your emails through third party smtp like amazon ses, elastic email, mailgun, ... --> you'll see inside mailwizz what it can integrate with easily (no headache - just add api key)

That seems the simplest solution to me

Also, interested in sending non-opt-in emails to prospective customers. Not interested in software, would like to use a service that also provides data. Thanks

For your opted-in contacts, I'd suggest looking into one of the traditional ESPs such as MailChimp or GetResponse.

But you'll want to separate out the contacts who have opted-in and those who haven't. Mixing warm and cold contacts can not only get you banned or blocked from your ESP but it can result in poor campaign results.

For your non-opted-in contacts, look for a solution that allows sending to cold or purchased contacts (a quick google search will help you find the right software).

    Good luck!
