I know this might be a stupid question, but does anyone here know of a free autoresponder? Not "risk free" but free? I am supposed to be a member of Listwire, but they're currently "off line."

Mailchimp. You can put automated campaigns together on there now which is cool. Been awhile since I looked in there as I was happy with ActiveCampaign and am impressed.

Mailchimp is free and has very good service, as long as you have less than 2000 subscribers

You can also obtain a script, run it on a server and use most of the SMTP's.

This will entail a little work, but is doable.

You can find free open source scripts. But, the ones that are decent will cost a little.

  • If you have less than 2,000 Subscriber You can promote the product through Mailchimp and follow up email as well.
( Do not promote affiliate offer they will suspend the account )

So what kind of offers can be promoted with MailChimp? I'm needing an auto responder but had planned to drive traffic back to my blog and hopefully have purchases from there.

All the offers except those mentioned on (or very similar to) the acceptable Use Policy.

Seriously you need to be reading the T&C's of the services you are considering using. yes it takes time, yes it's a pain but much less than getting banned, blocked or your business mucked up later.

I've made that mistake in the past and definitely going about it the right way reading TOS.

I've also made the mistake of not using this forum but that's changing also. I work full time so I'll just go with the paid service.

It'll pay off in the long run as i see.

An AR the OP lists as 'too expensive' - is free for 100 emails sent a day...long term. Cost for list of up to 40k is $10/month.

If you can't afford that after working online for several years - there's something wrong with your business plan or your choice of products. Might be better to focus on getting traffic and sales - and THEN start to build a list.

I was one of those guys who bought multiple $500+ products but non of those products taught me how to build a list nor did the courses ever mention it.

I make money offline all the time but I'm here to learn how to build a long term business the correct way as i feel i was ripped off and fooled for years.

I do still hold a full time job and thanks for answering the question i now know not to use mailchimp and just to continue going the paid route.

      Hope i don't come off like I'm offended cause I'm not .

I'm happy to take advice from anyone willing to help me.
