Where to get a subscription gift?

I do realize it`s probably the stupidest question asked this week, but I`m still learning affiliate marketing, and every course I buy says "Offer a free gift on your squeeze page for people to subscribe to your list..."
Ok, but how do I obtain such free gift that I am allowed to distribute?
For example, if I`m targeting the Health niche, all I can think of is offering them a PDF in the form of an article on a certain niche-related topic. So hire a copywriter to make me an article, a designer to make a book cover?
Is this the way?
How to chose a good topic?
Any other ideas instead of a PDF?

    its O.K. you don't need to go to the trouble of hiring a copywriter.


    Look at Masterresalerights.com to find books that have give away rights.
    They charge a membership fee but that will work out a lot cheaper than a copywriter.


    You can also Google: ebook giveaway rights and this will often bring some good results.


    Or you can produce a report yourself that is closely collected with your niche and offer this as a gift for signing up.
