What is the best mailing service to import a stale product buyer list?

I have a list of buyers of my product. Their purchase dates extend back 10 years or so.

We have permission to mail them, but I'm not sure where would be best to import them and start mailing the list.

We were looking at using mailchimp for our new subscribers, but mailchimp seems like they have a lot of complaints regarding old list imports.

Anyone have advice or ideas?

With data that old, I would be sure to have the data cleaned using a reputable list hygiene service before importing!

Most ESPs allow data import. You should really be more concerned about features, functions, and deliverability. Aweber and Getresponse are two of the most popular.

I would also suggest cleaning your email list.

There are services such as BriteVerify or FreshAddress that you can utilize that will remove bad email addresses.

You may run into some problems with platforms such as MailChimp when importing simply because the email list is so old they may consider them cold contacts.

I would suggest finding an email sending software that allows sending to cold contacts - send out your email campaigns and request they opt-in.

    Good luck!
