What's is the best way to make solo ads profitable

I have been using solo ads for a while 6 months and have found that with more and more solo ads I add to my list my open and clicks have steadily declined. Is there are particular way that you should mail to them? I mail twice a day am and pm @10 and mail unopens once changing the subject line. My open rate fluctuate between 2- 4%. I have a buyer list of 230 when I mail them offers open rates are between 17% and 28%. I have tried multiple suppliers I believe that either the supplier, my email strategy or both may be at fault. Any help would be appreciated.

Open and burn,,, thats what happens with solo lists. You need to be adding 50/100 subs a day to negate those that unscriber.

Unsubscribes are not the problem, it is getting them to open. I find that the open rates are not as high as my buyer list. I get 250 subscribers and only 3-4 percent open, is there something I am missing?

How many of your emails are going to your subscribers junk mail folder. Do you have your own gmail, yahoo, hotmail, outlook etc email accounts in your autoresponder to see if the emails you send go to your inbox

That is something I need to test more consistently but 9 out of 10 times when I test to my Gmail it goes into the inbox.

It's absolutely NOT pot luck don't listen to anyone who says that.

I sent out an email (with an offer) 20th Dec 2017 (5 days before xmas)

Email was to a mix of customers and subscribers to various (same niche) lists

      Open rate for email 1 = 31% (6,975 sent 2100 opens)

      Open rate for email 2 = 11.8% (4,965 sent to non-openers of email 1 579 opens)

Open rate for email 3 = 6.8% (4,433 to non openers of email 2 300 opens)

Total open rate = 42.58% (2,973 total opens)

These results are nothing to do with 'pot luck'.

I engage with my subscribers by providing value.

      It's not luck....it's just business.

With an open rate of 2% - 4% you could have spam folder problems. That's low engagement.

You should setup seed accounts for aol. gmail, yahoo and hotmail, as they often can make up 85% of a list. Send to them and test your inbox placement.

However, there are many other reasons your mail could be going to spam.

You could also test your data using a free gmail account(s). Free gmail accounts probably have the best deliverability of any provider, as long as your not getting spam complaints. Just remember that you can only send a max of 500 emails per day and to track opens / clicks you will need a 3rd party mailer.
