advice needed: Client wants sales page, squeeze page and Traffic

Hi Warrior Experts,

Please could a helpful person give me the best course of action to accomplish my clients requests. I'm very new to setting this up and need guidance. I'd appreciate it if you could answer each of the questions below.

1) Client wan'ts to create custom skateboards and he wants to create a sales page and squeeze page to book custom skateboard designs. He has a domain and website.

2) He wants to direct traffic from Instagram, Facebook and Google adwords to a sales page (describing the benefits of a custom designed skateboard). He then want's traffic to go form the sales page to a squeeze page where the goal is to get visitors emails. (what can we use as a CTA to get them to leave emails)

3) Once email has been entered he then want's an autoresponder to confirm registration and then ask the visitor to book the free session to get a skateboard design either via person/email or skype.

To accomplish the above, do we need both a sales page and squeeze page?

4) The most important question. this is a once off job and once done I'll move on. But setting up squeeze pages, autoresponders etc requires buying subscriptions for "getresponse, instapage etc" How do I get to create everything but without paying for the subscription. Do I need my client to set this up?

I'd really appreciate some guidance.

Thank you.

You can share the proposal with your clients covering the expenses or subscriptions you'll have to purchase. Either they can compensate you for it or they can pay for it now only.

For CTA, you can try something like "Get Me My Custom Skateboard Now" , "Tell me more about it" , "Send me exclusive deals"

I think a squeeze page is enough to get the desired result here.

    Hello,

You need to know all about this stuff, your asking for funnel system , landing page, sales page etc,
you can't learn this stuff over night.
This needs to be done right, this is not going to be easy

You'll need to sign up for an autoresponder in order to set up a squeeze page.

You could have a pop up on a sales page to capture emails (squeeze) however.

As suggested above, this is big stuff really and takes time to get right.

For instance using adwords to get traffic will take time and money to tweak adwords campaigns.

You'd be better off hiring someone to do all this and you take a lower margin. For someone who knows what they are doing this is easy stuff but be very careful if you're not sure how to do all this yourself.

Simply be honest with your client and say what you are able to do in this moment and in which areas you are not the expert. Sometime is better to place things like that at the start then to be asked for refund or money back which is the worst option.

Why don't you just put the lead capture form on to the squeeze page itself.

Every extra step you make your traffic hop through will likely mean a decrease in conversion rate unless you're effectively pre-selling your traffic.
It also depends on whether you're funneling cold or warm traffic to the website. If it is warm traffic, just go and get the lead capture on the squeeze page and skip the sales page.

I think what your client wants is a pre-sell to a squeeze page.

With regards to your question, there are many auto responders that can run on your web hosting account however yes if you choose Get Response, iContact, or Constant Contact...you may want to request for your client to register him/herself.

    1. If you can't do this stuff you will need to pay someone to do it for you.
    2. Recurring cost of autoresponder needs to be paid by the client if this is a one-off job. Just take the client through purchasing the autoresponder and you get the login.
    3. In practice you need to (I would) send traffic directly to the squeeze page to capture emails. Logically your ad CTA should be 'Get free custom board design' or similar. Fire them to the opt-in form and then to the 'free design instruction page' after subscribing.
    4. If you are not experienced in paid ads then don't even try it on your own for a customer. Your chances of creating a successful campaign out of the gate is pretty much zero. This (your clients project) is not the time or place to learn.

Sounds like you do not have the experience, do yourself and your client a favor and give him a refund, and tell him to hire a professional...

1: having no experience is bad enough...
2: Do have experience setting up autoresponders, or is your plan to get him started with a blanket responder, and nothing else.
3: Do you have the experience to send him quality traffic?
ie: FB ads, Google Ads, this will also incur costs, if not, then
this should be left to an ad expert that knows how to get conversions.

I would like to be CEO of a big company, but i
know full well that I am not qualified for the job....

and if you end up doing a crappy half ass job, then
he is just going to want his money back anyways....

and never buy anything for a client. If they need extra tools
for the job, then always let them know they have to purchase them...
otherwise, you end up paying for subscriptions they should be paying for....

you CAN'T have everything without paying.
    Easy.

    Free Autoresponders are simply garbage.

You can better sign up with getresponse which provides 30 day free and see some results.

For opt in page and sell page, the best choice is leadpages: easy to use and you can create how many pages you want PLUS integrate them with autoresponders, and blogs etc.

First off, sending traffic to the sales page is the right idea.

If you want to capture emails before a user exits the site, you could use a popup window with an email capture field.
