Mailchimp: Multiple Opt Ins, Segments, Groups, Lists

Hi,

im new in all this.

I have a REALLY hard time to figure out how to setup Mailchimp.

Heres what i wanna do:

I need different Opt In Forms for different topics.
It looks like, this is only possible with different lists. Why can't i use segments or groups for this.
I want one list basically, with tagged members in it, so i can send them different emails. But members have to be in multiple Lists at the same time. Because of that i think that a segment would be much better, but i cant figure out how to build the forms for that.

    So, create different lists. And with different opt in forms send them to the desired list. That is what everyone else does

    As far as creating the optins. I use aweber and us their knowledge base. Also you might consider something like thrivethemes, instabuiled, or wpprofit builder for creating the forms. they all have tutorials for integrating whatever autoresponder you are using.

    Also remember, if you are using the free mailchimp then you are limited in what you can do. I would think about upgrading or migrating to a more IM friendly service like aweber

        You can, but you should not. but you can send email blasts to multiple lists
