Whats the best way to turn your blog posts into emails?

Hey Warriors,

I got an email list of 5000 subscribers and from time to time I have a hard time emailing them content. Basically coming up with information that my subscribers want, But the good news is I have hundreds of blog posts written on my blog and I was thinking of using my blog content to send to my subscribers. But I don't want to simply copy and past the blog posts and send it directly to my subscribers because each post is about 1000-1500 words.

Can anybody give me an easier way to send short versions of my blog posts to my subscribers and does it really matter if you send out random topics to your list regularly or will they get bored and unsubscribe.

I have a bodybuilding blog, so was wondering what you think of sending my subscribers random information on nutrition, workouts, motivation tips etc. Any other tips would be happy to hear.

Thanks

You can write in your email a summary of what is written in that post and give them the link to the full blog post to read more....

You should actively encourage them to click the link of the full url of the blog post to get the complete information of the summary you have given in the introductory email.

    Hey Justin!

First, I would like to congratulate you on building that email list to those numbers. Great job man!!

Now, what you should do is Survey your list. Learn as much as possible from them. I do this myself, you have subscribed to my list already, so you should receive an email follow up soon asking for our feedback. I use Google Forms to create such Survey Forms (https://www.google.com/forms/about/).

This is the second or third email that I send out after someone subscribes to my list. I want to know more about the new subscriber as soon as possible.

Of course, not everyone will participate. But, that does not mean you are not going to do this, so please don't let it discourage you when not a lot of people participate. The people who actually want to learn from you will fill out your survey form. And those are the type of people you want on your list anyway.

Basically, asking the right questions to your subscribers is what will help you come up with new content ideas for email follow-ups. You can also ask people a question in the email and tell them to answer by replying to the email.

Just like you did. You replied to my email follow up and here I am. Right.

Once you have a very good idea of what type of content your subscribers are looking for you can then deliver what they want exactly. This will help you increase your open rates and conversion rates.

One last tip; when you write your emails, write an email as if you are emailing a best friend who asked you for advice on the topic. Writing like this will help your subscriber feel as if you are talking to them directly on a more personal level. You get what I mean? Picture your targeted person right in front of you when you are writing your emails.

Just implement and practice your writing skills and relationship building constantly!

    You will do great!

Thank you so much for inviting me here to share some value and to help you out as much as possible!

    Keep up the great work!

Hi Freddy, thanks for the quick response. Creating a survey email for finding out what problems they are having. I really like the tips you shared here and I'm sure they will make a big difference in my open and ctr.

Any idea the easiest way to shorten long blog posts and so that I can send them to my email list? I literally got over 500 blog posts but I'd like to share that information in those posts with my list without sending long emails.

Do you know an easy what to keep them short and does it really matter if I send out random blog posts or would it be better to create a sequence of emails that are all related to the exact same topic?

      No problem Jay!

I would recommend to create an email sequence with short previews of your blog posts.

What you can do is summarize your blog posts in an email so people are interested in clicking on your link to keep reading more.

I'm not saying to copy anything from your actual blog post, instead do your best to write up a short summary for the email and tell your subscriber to keep learning at the blog post.

Ask yourself important questions to help you come up with an enticing short summary of a blog post. Questions like, what is the main problem your blog post is solving? Are there any important key notes in your blog post? What are they? How many problems is your blog post solving? What is the most effective solution to these problems or problem and how is your informaiton solving it??

Your email does not have to be too long, as long as you talk about the main key points you should be able to get your subscriber interested to learn more.

Practice this and see how it goes!

Let me know how you do!

      Thanks!

One thing you might want to look into is upload your subs list to FB ads, and run an ad with a poll in it directly to them and people like them. I think that should give you pretty good answers pretty fast too
