Facebook ads to build a list

HI, New to the forums but just have a few questions I recently started using Facebook ads to build my list and i think i am making good progress. When i first started runing ads my cost per lead was around $3.50CAD and i now have it down to $1.35CAD a lead. IS this a good price to be paying per lead or am i over paying. I am promoting affiliate offers where the payout is around $40

    Personally, if the offer is converting very well, then it is good. Also, those leads are not only going to buy that single offer from you if you nurture and build a good relationship with your list to the point of trusting you.

    Are you running lead ads or actually running ads and driving traffic to a squeeze page?

    What really matters is your ROI...how is it?

    I am currently driving traffic to a squeeze page. I got a few more days to go till people start hitting the affiliate emails don't imagine to have any conversions with such a small list.

    I think it depends on the market you in. but since you building an email lists, you only pay for the leads once, but you still can make profit from it for a longer period. when you treating it like a business a $1.35CAD per lead, i think its great because you make money of it for months or even years..

    At the end of the day, everything is all about ROI, if its making good profit for you, you should scale.

    Like Diablo and sendizio said, it's all about ROI.
    You can optimize your squeeze page till you get a 75% opt-in rate and CPL of $0.50 and tank your ROI completely, because now you have leads in your list who are not really interested, not really buyers, not really active ... and so your leads only make you $0.30 back on average.
    Or $0.09. Or even less.

    Or you can optimize your squeeze page so that only people opt-in who are highly likely to buy from you. You CPL will go up, but so will your ROI.

    It depends how good the conversion is. The affiliate niche is not the cheapest when it comes to ads, but I think it is still possible to push it down a bit.

    The sales you get or your conversion rate may dictate whether the cost per lead is justified. This may be especially true if your campaign is based on material that is proven to convert. It could be noted that the cost of advertisement may change depending on the niche. I don't know if you are using videos, but I have seen my cheap cost per click with them on Facebook.

    Keep in mind that if you get someone on your email list, you pitch them a product and they don't buy anything, you still have them on your email list.

    Since you are providing useful for ent they will usually stick around govig you multiple attempts to pitch an affiliate offer to them.

    Which means your $1-$3 lead may bring in $0 the first pitch but may bring in $30-$? After 3-6-12 months.

    If people are opting into your email list, you are a big step ahead of everyone else starting out. Now you just have to fine tune your emails and products.

    This may sound counterintuitive, and I don't know if you can do that because I don't know your product... but why don't you try to remove your squeeze page?

    What if you directly send traffic to a landing page where you sell your cheapest product?
    And from there, you retarget (or promote via newsletter) more expensive products.

    Maybe this way you can get a better ROI, and direct conversions from your ads.
