Prosper202 - Track Email Optins

I have a question about how to track email optins with Prosper202.

When adding the URL of the squeeze page in Prosper202 when setting up the campaign, do you need to add a placeholder to the URL such as [subid] or should just the URL itself be added?

I read a guide that said 'subid' should be added at the end of the URL, but the guide is from 2010 so I don't know if that applies now.

SUBID's are mostly used to track different traffic sources or other differienting items within the email campaigns.

So for a regular email campaign to track optins, should just the URL of the squeeze page be added in Prosper202 with nothing at the end of it?

To clarify, this is the guide that I mentioned.

As you can see, he says the URL should be http://DOMAIN.com/?subid although I don't know if that would work now because Prosper202 uses [subid] as a placeholder.
