What Autoresponder will let me import my list ?

My dilemma. My personal email list of 13885 subscribers, has always been a good list.

Unfortunately, because of a divorce, I shutdown my affiliate marketing business 7 months age and pulled my list off of Aweber and closed the account.

Now that the divorces settled, I am wanting to get back into the sffigliatemarketing business. And, I am wanting to start using my email list again. BUT, I am being treated as a crook, criminal, a shady spammer. All because I want to import my email list. All these autoresponder companies are judging me and they know nothing about me. This is crap ! Totally unfair !

Can anyone tell me if there is an autoresponder company that will allow me to import my list ? OR, is there any other alternative email programs that I can look into ?

Any help will appreciated.

You are going to be hard pressed to find any reputable ESP that is going to allow you to upload your list willy nilly. This is because due to blatant abuse by spammers, the ESP's simply do not allow it.

Your best option is to go with a self hosted syste,. This way you can upload your list how you want and then you can email it however you want without any other oversight from an esp or autoresponder.

Is that complaint getting you anywhere? Nope. Deleting the acct was not a good move but it's done.

If it were me I would try to talk to a person at AWeber who might listen to you. Explain why you deleted your acct - and give them the date you last downloaded your list from AWeber. If you were a good customer before - you might have a chance. They might be willing to let you back in with conditions - such as re-confirming your list. Worth a shot.

AWeber might work with you ...but not if you are in the 'me me me - unfair to me' mode. That won't fly.

Most ESPs let you upload lists.

I would clean it to make sure nothing will throw up a red flag...bounces, blacklist, etc...

Then don't try and upload it all at once. Split the list up and upload in small chunks over many days.

This should bypass you getting hit with a manual review.

Yeah like DIABL0 said, you shouldn't upload the list at once. it is easy to be marked spam. Btw, would you guys suggest some softwares of email list buliding? I only know the organic email collection.

    Most do.
The only issue is this: Almost nobody will allow you to import millions and spam them.
But, if you are importing your old subscribers from elsewhere, everybody allows it.

  • I know you can import a list with GetResponse.

As mentioned above, I would call the company and find out how to do it correctly. There is no reason why they would turn you down. That would be like throwing away money, especially since you have a decent size list.

I would try to talk to Aweber, or more preferably I'd move to GetResponse as they are my personal preference. Btw, is a thread here on WF about a decent self-hosted autoresponder which I was considering getting into, unfortunately I forgot its name, I'll look it up and will get back.

  • I was doing a Matrix Burst for my team this few day and come across your thread. I think the best Autoresponder that allow you to import all your subscriber will be Trafficwave.net Check it out with Brian

Well, Aweber and Getresponse will allow you to do so.

I will suggest you to do that in batches.

Mail a few re-engagement emails. Tag those who opened it and stay subscribed and delete those who are not responding to your mails.

Then reload another batch and repeat this process.

The thing is, if you have not been mailing them for a long time, your open rates, your click rates will be low. Next, the unsubscribe rate will be higher than usual and the worse part will be the complains. These are what makes an autoresponder not happy when you import leads.

They need to protect themselves from spam.

If you do it this way, you will be able to get a handful of subscribers from this cold list, and convert them back to your raving fans, and you will experience a higher open rate.

    Hope this helps

    Yes, choose Sendgrid or SendinBlue

At least you can try Sendlane and ask them to import and verify your list.

Kartra will let you import your list... just let them know how you obtained the list and provide detail. I've uploaded about 50k subscribers with no issue.
