What software safely works best to send emails to a small list of leads? Say for example if you wanted to send out 1000 emails?

You might want to try Drip, Constant Contact, or Mailchimp.

Sometimes sites like that want the email list to subscribe again under their service. It's not always so easy to import an existing email list.

    I would prefer Mailchimp most.

Cause, most of the email marketing companies charges you monthly payment. But, if you're new in Email marketing and have a few hundred emails, it will be worthless for you to pay a monthly Fee for that whether you're not making a dime.

Mailchimp offers you 12,000 monthly email sending limit for Free upto 2,000 subscribers.

For 1000 emails you might be able to use a Gmail account with MailShake. If not a MailChimp free account.

It wouldn't be bad. But, will it require any kind of settings with MailShake ?

But, if you're asking for Gmail SMTP, there must have some limitations & always shows error when you'll try to send bulk mail.

Since you can buy email lists on eBay, or you can scrape emails from web sites yourself, many consider this type of mailing software as a spamming tool.

Yes, there are exceptions, but personally, I would suggest you stick with a reputable mailing service for the best deliver rates.

I use a software called AB Bulk Mailer and it works pretty good for me, it cost $23 one-time payment, just do a Google search for it and watch some videos on YouTube about it.

    I hope this help!

If you're not sending affiliate offers and you're OK with the 12K emails month / 2K contact restriction of a free MailChimp account, I would go with it.

If not, an Aweber or Getresponse account will work. Getresponse is much cheaper at the level of 1K contacts than Aweber. Both have a 30-day free trial.

There's 3rd party programs/services that will let you send using Gmail / Gsuite accounts. Going this route is really more for doing cold email. The exception is testing your deliverability of addresses that have become unresponsive. A free Gmail account has excellent deliverability (inboxing).

what if you just put the emails in the google BCC and send the email to yourself? Just do a few batches a day? Would the emails get through or not?

You can't scale your B2B business without a healthy dose of new leads entering the funnel. With the right approach, an outbound email marketing campaign can keep your brand top-of-mind with your customers and lead to more deals being closed.

With that said, mixing cold contacts into your email automation service is a bad idea. You can quickly damage your sender reputation and ruin the deliverability to your opt-in list. Keep your permission-based list separate from your cold contacts - and focus on converting the cold prospects to opt-in.

For a cold email list, use a software designed to effectively reach this audience. A quick Google search will help you find a software that allows sending to a purchased list.

Mailchimp has always been my No.1 choice for email marketing. It's not just because of the features, it's the whole user-friendliness of the system.
