How many value/promo emails do you send out

I'm Interested to know how many emails you send out and the ratio of value to promos? What do you think is a good ratio

I'm in the MMO niche
In the first 7 days I send out 1 email a day with of them 4 being value emails and 3 promo emails. After that its about 1-2 promo emails out of every 7 sent
out.

That sounds like a great ratio. Have you not been getting conversions?

Every single one is value - when I did the list thingee - and then I promote as a call to action wrap up. Or I just linked to my eBook via the sig. As I do here. Think abundantly. Do not hold back value, and eventually, value keeps flowing to you through folks and money and prospering ideas. If you keep helping folks for free with all emails and drop a note to buy stuff or hire you, more and more folks buy stuff and hire you. Abundance deal.

ryanbiddulph that's a great idea so in the footer/bottom of your emails you have a call to action in every one? is that correct?

Do you make your call to action very relevant to the email? for example email about facebook paid traffic results > then link at bottom to a facebook paid training course
      OR
Is your call to action link more general to you niche? for example here's some great value about niche XYZ and also click this link at bottom to pick up my ABC product/service

      Thank you for the idea

I think the general rule is 80/20 - althoug i look to promote a product in all my emails, 80% of them look to be informative, and educational and 20 just all out selling a deal. I read this somewhere, and i'm new to the email business so it might do with some tweaking. But i get a lot of opens and no unsubscribers.

    Hey Chris,

It depends if your mailing to your regular list or your buyers list of course on how you would be mailing and what.

Everyone has their own methods after they get to know their list well, which usually takes a bit of time after monitoring opens and clicks.

I'm in MMO as well and here's how I mail.

Regular List - First 7 days.
Day 0 - what they optin in for
Day 1-7 Content related material (give tips and help and build trust)
Day 8 and beyond - One content email rest promos

    Buyers List -
Day 0 - what they bought and meet and greet along with White Listing Instructions
Day 1 and beyond - Send out emails about my product launches or special promos that I think will help their business.

    That's how I do it.

    Hope that helps a bit!
