News Letter broadcast to my email list

I use Get Response for my email marketing and have a contact list of approximately 500. I have about 25% conversion to orders from this list. My question is, whenever I broadcast a news letter to this list, my CTR is ZERO. Is it an abnormal thing to happen. So far, I have checked it by sending at least 10 News letters with the same result. Can you throw some light on this peculiar scenario?

sounds to me like you are going to spam. Do you send these to yourself.

I had never thought of this but someone here advised you should have a google email, yahoo email, hotmail and outlook email address and add these to your list so you can see if your emails are going to spam folders

Well, spamming is out of question. I send news letters once a week only and the list is the result of my you-tube videos and bing paid traffic.

if you are sending marketing emails to a select group of people involved in or interested in your niche with specific offers relevant to them, you are not spamming.

What I mean is, 25% percent people have purchased my offer after giving the email address. Point is, I don't get any clicks when I send news letters.

Do you know if you are inboxing?

Do you know the domain makeup of the list?

Do you have SPF set up?

Do you use images in your messages?

        What is your open rate?

You have to understand that people get emails all day long and from many people.

Your emails could be going to their spam or promotions folder depending on how engaged your list is.

The first thing you should do is tell your list to add your email address to their contacts list. They can also drag your email from the spam or promotions folder to the inbox folder and click the yes button to make sure they get delivered to their inbox from now on.

But mailing your list once a week is not that effective unless of course, you told them that you will only be mailing them once a week. Then they will come to expect and look for your emails.

Do you mean a zero open rate? If that's the case after 10 newsletters, you have a deliverability issue. You need to take this up with GetResponse.

First step is ensue you have your own emails addresses in the list so you can see what is/is not being delivered. Worth having a hotmail/gmail/yahoo and an own domain email.

You will have your email going to some Spam/Junk folders etc. That is simply a fact. But as so much goes to spam many people also check their spam and so zero opens for 500 emails seems unlikely.

    1. Are the emails actually getting delivered to your test email accounts? If not contact GetResponse support.
    2. If you open them do those opens show in the stats? If they don't then that is your first issue. see https://www.getresponse.com/help/ana...-tracking.html
    3. Improve in-boxing by setting up your autoresponder/sending email account correctly. i.e. ensure sending email is not free account. It must be on your own domain. Your own domain email must be correctly set up (SPF/DKIM). There are online checkers just Google it.
    4. Is the email message itself "spammy". test it at https://www.mail-tester.com/

    5. If all above OK then the main thing that gets an email open is the subject line. That is your initial focus.

I am too confident about my subject line. I use title-generator.com to pick up my subject line and then decide after a long brain storming session.

Before we get into the possibilities, you will have to have your own email IDs in the list so that you can be sure that your mails are delivered.
Any of the below might be possible:
1.) Your mails are getting into the Promotion section. This would reduce your CTR but shouldn't bring it to 0. If you see your mails going to promotions, you will have to edit your emails' contents.
2.) Your emails are getting into spam. This is possible only if a lot of your subscribers had marked your emails as spam. One way to get around this is to have a new sender email (change your "from email")
3.) GetResponse has this problem where suddenly their CTR drops because their mails go to spam, even if YOU are not spamming. Take it up with GetResponse.

My email ID is there in the list and my message gets delivered properly.

Thanks, I didn't know about this "Promotion Section". Will check.

      Have done that.

Guys, Thanks for all your reply. Today, I did some research on all the news letters that I have sent so far. They were approximately 20 news letters.
One had an email unique opening rate of 22%
      One had 4.6%
      and the third had 11.2%
      Rest all were Zero.
There was one thing common in all these non zero unique opening rate, in these messages, I had used a template where there was an image of a tiger on the top with a caption "We did it" followed by my message.
Rest all emails were in plain text format.
      Does it make sense?
Would you like to say something about my finding?
      Thanks in anticipation.
