Email marketing address?

For people who live in the UK, what is the most cost effective way of using an alternative to your home address in emails?

I see that a PO Box costs about £10/month. I've seen cheaper services called PO Box alternatives, but I'm not sure if they are suitable.

  • What? Is there a law or something that require you to put home address in emails?

    • Yes, to be compliant with the CAN-SPAM Act you need to put a physical address in emails. Even though its a US law, you still need a physical address if your email provider operates in the US. I think the two major autoresponders GetResponse and Aweber operate in the US.
  • In theory, you could use any business premises to which you have access, but with a PO Box or Office Services company, you'll probably have more control.

Just factor in the cost as another necessary business expense.
  • For can-spam compliance, you just need a physical address that you can receive postal mail at.
