Want to do email affiliate marketing, but don't know how to start off/introduce myself

Should I promote my website/free content first then gradually promote different offers? How do I introduce myself successfully? I mean I want to introduce myself as someone who will provide content and value to people but who also will promote things. So I'm not sure in my first few emails if I should focus more on promoting myself/my blog or promoting my first offer. Or both

    Luna,

First, where did you get the list from? They should
    already know who you are.

But in any case, to answer your question - focus on
providing value on the subject that they are interested
    in.

And then, occasionally, present offers as a way to
provide even MORE value. Give a mini review and
be very selective about what you promote. Make
sure you only provide excellent products/services.

    Hope this helps.

Assuming you built your list from your site, they should be somewhat familiar with you. If you purchased the list, that's more difficult.

Either way... DONT go right into promotion whatever you do. That's how you get thrown into a bunch of spam boxes.

    Start by doing two things:

    1. Introduce yourself- and if possible do it in an engaging, authentic, story-driven way.
    2. Give them something of value. A tip, an article, whatever... something that HELPS them.

Then . once you've done that, leave them wanting more. Talk about how you're excited to share some more info with them. Maybe very casually tease your product or service. But warm them up for your next emails.

just a basic introduction will do.
If you build the list, basically they already know you.

If the list is obtained from somewhere, basically they don't interested to know you yet you can impress them with value first. Once the audience gets the value you offer. they will automatically find out who you are.

you may at first provide information, free ebooks, tips or whatever related to your target audience. Once build the TRUST, they will start to love you.

  • The best way to promote an offer is to give them a reason to buy from you. Giveaways always work for me. Make sure you are doing target email marketing. My first page on my site is a giveaway. Lock them in.

Provide valuable content, insight, knowledge, tools, and resources relative to your niche or audience's interests.

The best way to start email marketing is create a free report, give-a-way, or something of "perceived value" to your audience.

It sounds to me like you have 'no list' which is fine... Use AWeber or GetResponse, create an opt-in form, follow the steps and post it somewhere on your blog/website!

Truth be told, if you don't have a relort, newsletter, eBook or something to give-a-way in exchange for their email... join an affiliate network; ClickBank, JVzoo, or even MarketHealth, CJ, or LinkShare... they are all 100% Free to join.

Clickbank for example will likely have products relative to your niche market or audience's interest... Plus, they'll often have promotional tools like email swipes, videos, and occassional free give-a-ways that can be branded with your affiliate links.

The best thing to remember is this... unless you're a celebrity, rock star, or guru already... Odds are, nobody gives a rats arse about you... they are searching for kbowledge, tools, and resources to enhance or sustain their own life...

So, whatever you write or market to them, make sure it has a specific action, command, and is wriiten as if you are sincerely concerned for helping them find what they are seeking...

After all, unless you're looking to marry or seeking companionship... Odds are, nobody wants to her about you, your life, or your adventures...unless, it offers them something of benefit or value in exchange for their time, energy, and money!

Create an optin... give away your best how to or what not offer... then nurture that list by creating insightful emails that offer more than what you ate for lunch or how aunt B died... You have to be in their head, not your own... figure out what they need, want, and/or desire and line it up for them.

If they want to lose weight... help them lose weight!

If they want to learn fb ads... teaxh em fb ads...

But, make sure whatever it is... you kbow a lil' sum sum about providing real solutions, don't guess what they might want or need... You need to know what they need and provide for that need.

Could be anything... whatever it is, be honest and transparent...do product reviews of stuff you buy, like, know, and trust... most products and service offerings have a free affiliate program... start by reviewing & promoting smarter people's trusted offers and services!!!

  • You should provide value or free content to your readers first as they are subscribed to your blog. After a few emails, you may start promoting other offers that are related to your niche and that you believe can benefit your readers.
