Moving Users When They Cancel Membership

I am wondering if there is a way so that when a customer cancels their membership in my WordPress site a signal is sent to MailChimp where they are changed to a different list.

Using Zapier, I am able to change a user from my free list to a paid list when they join, but there is no way that I see to change them back when they quit and their membership type changes.

Anyone else able to figure this out?

Sure, but you have to have some depth in your team/organization to make this stuff work, or you'll end up having to pull freelancers for this stuff.

Mailchimp has pretty extensive API documentation, in which you can set everything up you need.

This has to be custom programmed? Seems like this is something that should exist and be fairly popular. I looked into webhook, which is pretty close, unfortunately it allows you to hook into almost everything other than role change.

in most autoresponders it is easy to set this up as a "Rule" if you are using mailchimp free version then you probably can not do this
