Problem: I emailed a person. Now, Gmail shows some irrelevant auto-reply suggestions to the receiver.

My question: Is it possible to manually set custom auto-suggestions for the receiver? I mean I know which replies would be the best fit for my email, and I want to make easier for my receiver.

For example, take a look at this image. I approached a person for the guest post. I shared 3 article ideas with him, and I wanted to know which one fits best? Now, the auto-reply answer seems irrelevant because I have already given 2 options to the receiver. If I could set this auto-reply manually, I'd set it as, 1, 2, or 3.

    No, you can't control it.

The auto-reply (called smart reply) is a function of Gmail and can only be turned on/off in the settings. There is no way for the sender to control what options are displayed.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think these suggestions changing sometimes depending of your email content. I think gmail 'reading' your email conversation and trying to suggest the best answers from your content. But I can be wrong.

I think the person replying will know what is best. I see those all the time, also with outlook.com mostly I ignore them. I would ignore them no matter why the suggester is. there are more important things for you to worry about

Broken promises don't upset me. I just think, why did they believe me?
