What I would like to know is from your expireince what is the best kind of lead magnet to use when building a list using the Warrior Forum platform? Should it be a free product or sold for a small fee? Can you help?

Definitely, offer value before trying to sell. It's hard to sell to anybody that doesn't trust you. Focus on developing that trust first by giving away something free that helps them achieve a win. It doesn't matter the format (ebook, infographic, cheatsheet, video, email ecourse, etc) so long as it delivers value.

A lead magnet should be something that will give your prospect a
small win. Its as if you've given them a $100 bill. How many of them would want that? Almost everyone ...right? Thats the way your lead magnet should be....

For e.g. A free case study of how i made $1000 in warrior forum in 24 hrs.
How many people would like to learn that? I would assume quite a lot. Thats the way your leadmagnet should be. Its a small win for them, why? Because they can learn the case study and implement the method themselves...

It really depends what your product offer is about. If you're selling a water filter as an affiliate, it wouldn't make sense to offer a course. What would the course be about...how to install a water filter? Not a big win for a potential customer.

If you're trying to attract affiliate marketers to sell your product, an infographic probably wouldn't provide much value in my opinion. However, I admit these are used often. They all say the same thing more or less though: 1. Find your niche 2. Create content 3. Drive Traffic 4. Convert sales. Does that really provide value? For brand new marketers, who have never heard of affiliate marketing before, perhaps...maybe.

If you're trying to sell someone a list of 10,000 "hot" leads, they probably don't need to read an ebook about that.

Ask yourself "if someone bought my product, what would they have wished they knew before buying? or what will they need/want while using my product?" Build your freebie offer around the answers to those questions so that the offer aligns well with the product.

I have never used "freebies" as a lead magnet. What I have found to be much more effective is to sell a relevant nominally-priced physical product (under $50). This requires them to provide full contact information (including phone number) to obtain the product.

There should also be an option to "get free information" about the product by email on the same form, which will generate leads for your front end offer.

Note this technique of course will drastically reduce the rate for building a list, but you will have a far more responsive list than getting tons of freebie seekers.

My marketing style is to quickly develop relationships through a series of incrementally higher end transactions rather than wasting time on freebie seekers.

In my not so humble opinion, it's better to qualify a few leads upfront rather than sift through countless ones endlessly.

Whether you offer something for free, a 'taster', or the entire product, (which represents the common three options) depends entirely upon what you're selling.

There's a difference between a unique, related, free offering and a segue.

Be sure to appreciate your business as a unique entity. If you are willing, it's probably a good idea to divulge further with this in mind.

We all know that over 90% marketers are struggling to make their first $100 online. Right? So, give stress on this and try to give them a perfect solution to make atleast $100 a month.

If you ever made money online then write a short report on it, like a case study and use it as a lead magnet (as free offer).

Belive me you will get better optin rate and most importantly you will win their trust which will give you a lot of business in coming days.

    Hope you got my point...

In fairness, we don't know that and I wouldn't regard it as true.

There's a vast amount of factors at play and correlation of results is impossible.

Your idea of using a 'How I made X in month' product is a good one and the headline should reflect that particular, personal fact.

Full disclosure of who a person actually is, particularly in this day and age, will also contribute a lot towards the potential success of the product. People hiding in the woodwork are slowly fizzling out whilst people in full disclosure (within limits!) have the potential to thrive - especially in light of utilising video media as honest people who attempt to replay their skills and knowledge to the next...

Everyone has already covered what I was going to say but a few ideas I've had a ton of success with are:
    - Discount (% OR $) OFF
    - Giveaways OR Contests

Giveaways, in particular, bring us the most subscribers. EX. "Sign up today and enter to win a FREE XYZ product, *one winner a week"

There really is no "best" lead magnet. At the end of the day, it's what works for you and your brand. I'd say start with the basics (free eBook or discount) then test it out.

After letting it run for a while and getting some data you'll be able to adjust accordingly or optimize.

Have never once thought to do a giveaway or contest ! What a great idea. Fun for them and also fun for me as well.

Thank you all for all of the suggestions and advice. Because I want to give something of real value, somtheing that will not only help the user solve a problem but take action and get results. I have decided on giving away an "email crash course".

Now all I have to do is to come up with a lesson plan. Any ideas? How would you set-up say a seven day crash course? What would be some of the important steps to add? Can you help?

It sounds like you need/want someone to do the work for you. There are lots of free resources out there or you can save yourself time and just pay someone to show you how to do it. At some point though, you'll need to do something yourself.

If you want someone in here to do the work for you, maybe check out the Warrior For Hire section.

Depends on the intention and the niche.

Make it valuable. Like make it worth money.

You can make the lead magnet and small pay. Can work and can be interesting because u'd be getting buyers. That being said, you either need a massive audience or big PPC money to do that.

To sell a 6$ product, u'll probably need 30$. To get 1.000 people, u'll be 24.000$ down. So you need a serious system to get that money back quickly
