How do you collect email opt-ins in 2019?

I would love to hear about the tactics you guys use.

Is it merely creating a landing page and driving traffic to it? If yes, how do you drive traffic? Social media? PPV/PPC ads? Solo ads? SEO?

What kind of lead magnet do you use? eBook? Video course? Email series?

What do you think works best in 2019?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

If you want to build list then you must create an awrsome lead magnet. If you are beginner, eBook is okay.

But try to create the eBook in a way that your ebook also trigger to the product you are offering.

Then you must need to set minimum 14 days email follow up sequence . In this 14 days you shoul provide more value to your leads as they can trust you.

After that you can offer good products which may help them.

Traffic is no more problem if you can provide value and help your target audience.

Identify where is your dream audience, provide value and help , they will automatically join your list.

And with follow up , you will get results from your list.

Just collecting leads from anywhere and sending them random email won't make you a solid business.

    I hope you understood

I'd say that it is as 'simple' as you said:

Set up a lead magnet that offers your target customer something extremely useful (that's also related to a product you'd like to sell later down the line), and then begin an email sequence of related emails that lead up to the eventual 'pitch'.

In terms of the type of lead magnet, it honestly depends on your business. For some, an entire e-book may be overkill, but you'd perhaps have to split test a few different lead magnets to see which people respond best to.

As for driving traffic in the first place, the best way is if you can build an audience on social media, as if they already know you they are going to be warmer leads. Ads definitely can be effective to scale though - there's a good reason so many people are still spending so much on Facebook and google ads: they still work! It's just more competitive so your copy and targeting needs to be tighter than ever.

But I think the foundational principals (which you essentially said yourself in your post) haven't changed in recent years, and will likely continue to work into 2020 and beyond.

If you want something slightly more unique though, a Manychat autoresponder on Messenger could be a good way to get an email address rather than sending them to a lead magnet. Alternatively, setting up a facebook group that requires an email to join.

The strategy is offering an attractive coupon code to exchange your visitor's email address.
Hellobar has an integration function that can sync your collected your email address into Mailchimp audience list, but it will charge you 29 USD monthly.

If you just think on how to collect leads it will be hard for you .Instead always focus on customer and try to deliver as much value as you can and leads will come . You can post here on this forums ,help people and have a signature .You can also create an youtube channel and create helpful videos in your niche and then recomend to people to check what you have to offer .You create a blog and create great posts in your niche and collect email with a pop up .Be sure to have a good lead as people are tired of the same content .It dont need to be ectraordinary but it need to deliver value

  • Hi, may I know how are you currently generating your traffic to get people to opt-in ? There are several ways and it depends on which method that suits your business as well as which are the ones that you are more comfortable.

You may consider a mix of free and paid traffic sources. The most valuable traffic are those that you build through your free sources like Fan Page, Blog, etc as you would have a built a certain relationship with these audiences. Paid traffic could range from PPC as, FaceBook ads, Solo ads, etc.

If you are just starting out, you may want to work on both and use them to build your list. Once again, it really depends on the nature of our business to determine the most suitable platform. All platforms work but depends only how you adapt your business to the platform for generating opt-ins.

Thanks for sharing this, We tend to focus more on making sales instead of adding more value to our audience. I use more organic traffic than pay traffic. Because free traffic allows me to build relationships with my a stranger and turn him/her into a fan. Give more than you take.

I normally use Organic traffic from Facebook groups of my niche. An i do SEO as well etc. i NORMALLY USE AN eBook as a lead magnet. For me what works best is building relationship or say networking with your audience. This is what works best for. Focusing less on making sales than adding value to them

For the past 19 years, my main source of leads has been acquiring 3rd party data.

3rd party data are users (leads) that have given permission to receive messages from third parties regarding a specific offer/niche. You get the opt-in record for each user.

They are not as responsive as a quality opt-in list you build yourself. However, it doesn't matter because it's much cheaper and far more scalable than developing yourself. So you just work with higher volume, segmenting the opens/clickers and removing the nonresponsive users. Essentially converting the data from high quantity to high-quality responsive lists.

I hope i understand your questions clearly.

One of the best ways to aquire new leads is by having a really strong offer. I mean to offer tons and tons of value. But you are looking for ways to drive traffic.

Traffic is Content. If you want traffic, write amazing content on high trafficed sites.
You can start by guest posting on blogs that have related articles. and on the Author bio place your landing page to generate hot leads.

    Hope this helps

i use a landing page. That way when you send visitors to your landing page its much easier for them to to sign in which is your goal than an optin form on a website where they can get distracted. If you want to build your list in the fasted possible time solo ads are the away to go.
