How can I effectively build a list from a website and social-media, to promote MMO webinars to?
I already have one evergreen high-converting MMO/IM webinar to promote to the list (and can easily get more of those to promote, as the list grows).
I have got the email swipes from that webinar, which are based on phrases like "the easiest way to get rich online in 2020" and "make money in 4 days". The webinar converts very well, and has been optimised from a lot of testing, so I know these email swipes must work very well for sending to a mailing-list . . .
BUT . . .
. . . from what people are telling me (and the results I am getting) I am guessing that it cannot work well to say anything like that on a website or social-media.
For example, I have found, through trial and error, that FaceBook, and a lot of individuals on FaceBook, consider that anyone using the phrase "make money online" IS spamming.
And I've been advised that using phrases like those above from the email swipes, on my website, is likely to make visitors over-sceptical, and would get me banned if I try to use FB or Google ads, because it suggests that people might "get rich quickly".
So, how do I get people to subscribe to my mailing-list, so I can send them those emails swipes for that webinar (somewhat re-written, of course), and other similar webinars?
I was initially assuming that telling people they'd get free training by hugely successful online millionaires, would be of value to them, but the results seem to suggest otherwise, as I got a 0.4% squeeze-page conversion rate doing that (or maybe I am just doing it wrong?).
So I tried using the phrases from the email swipes, as above, on my squeeze-page, and that also gets poor conversions, and it seems from what experts are telling me, that I won't get good results do anything like that on social-media, or on my website.
Does anyone know of any examples of people getting people to subscribe to a mailing-list by telling them on the squeeze-page that they will get free trainings by experts, or something similar? I always like to be honest if possible, and I've got HUGE value from watching a lot of high quality webinars, but it seems, from my results, that people don't want free trainings from experts, or am I just doing it wrong?
I know that some people build a list by selling a low-ticket product, or giving a free report or something like that. And then the list owner promotes nothing but webinars with high-ticket courses, to that list (I know this because I am on a couple of lists who used exactly that strategy). Is that a more effective approach than being direct and honest?
I have done some small experiments with paid traffic for building my list, but have a very low budget and have so far not got worthwhile results from small tests with this approach.
I am unsure which approach to use to get good results for list-building from website and social-media. I ideally need one good overall approach that I can use on my website and all social-media.
Is there anyone here with experience of success building a MMO/IM list from organic traffic to a website or social-media, who can tell me how they do it, or who can point me to examples of how other experts do this?
Thanks !
Chris
