My Email List

I doubt anyone can tell you what any list is 'worth' - that would be a pure guess. What kind of list? Freebie seekers? buyers? Did they sign up or were they 'signed up'? How old is the list - how many emails have they received? What is the open rate?

Your Email List it's Double Opt-In Or Just Extracted?

As fellows already said/asked, is it bought/scrapped email list or you build it yourself?

If it's just a scrapped email list that you have not build it yourself, I am thinking it's not worth a lot if any.

But you can use it for building your own list. You can send email with your squeeze/optin page and try to collect and build your email list from this scrapped one, but I am not sure if it's legal to send emails to the list which you don't own.

Just saw your reply that it's your own list. Why not to try send an email to them and see what results you will get, what open and click rate you would get?

Maybe you need to answer these questions to know how worthy the list is.
1. Other than the design services what accompanying products must the clients buy and who vents the products?
2. which problems are the buyers likely to encounter while utilizing your design services?

The key to keeping a quality email list is providing the value in your emails and landing pages. Its also important to have a sales email at least once a week maybe twice. This will let your subscribers understand that you have things for them to buy as well. Share fun things in your series as well and not just business stuff. Know your demographics of your subscribers so you an talk about other things as well. Sort of like on social media.

As far as selling your list I personally would hold off. You want a high converting list. Really as far a a value of a subscriber it can range anywhere from 50 cents to 2 or 3 dollars per month per subscriber.

you might be able to put this mails detail and put it in fiverr to test with your potential customer.

you can offer the price slightly cheaper and let them test the conversation rate for u . and u can judge from there.

I run a small non-profit that works with k-12 schools. We have two email lists, one for donors and supporters, and the general public, and one that is mostly teachers.

Our organization basically was put on hold for a few years and volunteers updated the website and filed paperwork with the government, to keep the organization operating, but it has been over 3 years since any emails have been sent out to our email lists.

We had been sending out emails using Vertical Response, but they will not allow us to email to the lists and said we would only be able to email to sign ups less than 6 months old, which is only a hand full of the 8,000 subscribers we have.

I realize that the majority of the people on the list have probably forgotten about us, but I know that perhaps 5% or 10% will be very excited to hear that we are back up and running.

Is there a way we can use these lists to give people an option to opt in again for future emails from us, or use the lists in some way with out getting marked as spam?

I understand old lists are not a good thing, but I am hoping you can suggest things we can do.

hi, you can always hire a freelancer from a fiver to check these emails and you can build a network of email marketing around it. Or else you can use an email cleaning tools like MailGet, List Cleaning,
Email Marker, Email List Verify, EmailChecker to filter bad emails from your list. Eventually, you can have a filtered list of good emails.

I think you'll have a hard time to find a way to sell such list..

If You Haven't sent them any Follow up messages Since They joined Your List, And If It's Been A long time since they bought something from you. Then Chance are they forgot you and they won't be opening your emails.

Because, Peoples gets hundreds of emails a day. They tend remember people who send them email everyday and forget who don't.

First key is knowing what problems do these small businesses have in their operations and help them with that with your e-mail follow up. If they have forgotten you and you have not nailed for a while. You can ask them about your previous web design services and check on with them if things are going well.

I think you can try to sell them the same products in the niche where you achieve them .Maybe tou can find some promotions ,some new deals and marketo to them by email

It is very hard to price up e-mail list.

It depends on how you acquired your list. If you have a previous relationship with those users, then it might be worth a lot.

I would say if you can grow 8000, grow 8000 more and let that list keep building. Provide them with offers that will help them either build a real legitamite business or tools to grow and add value to their business.
