How do you figure out what is your best content? (to send via email as introduction campaign)

Hi experts in email marketing!

I'm working on creating a welcome/introduction email series where in two-three emails, upon signing up for my newsletter I get new subscribers to get to know who I am what I do and thus increase their trust in me.

For that purpose in my second and third email, I want to send them 3 of my top best blog posts over the year.

However, my question is how in your opinion would be best to determine which exactly are my best blog posts. What metric would you look to determine which are the best ones. Will it be just plain the most visited or the ones that they stayed the most at or those that got the most clicks to the CTA at the bottom or better some ratio between all or some of those metrics.

If you have some experience running similar campaigns I would be more than happy if you could share.

Cheers!

Okay, so which blogs have the most views and interactions? I'm sure you have Google Analytics setup?

  • I would pick the ones that have the most engagements.

    What is your goal though?

What is your mission in sending out the three blog posts?

  • Greeting,
Use GSC data. And I would like to suggest you use the most CTA for your email marketing.

People do not get on your list because they want to know you. They get on your list because you promised them something. Give them what they expect.

I bring people to my email list with my lead gen, that brings value. It can be e-book or some free training... and after that I offer them through email my main business.

It is true that the money is not necessarily in the list, but in the relationship.

So talk to your subscribers as you would with your friends, be open and honest with them, and let them get to know you.

Because the better they know you, the more they trust you. And the more that they will buy from you.

Stories are a great way to build the relationship, and when telling a story you can always pitch a product at the end that relates to the story.

Storytelling is probably the most effective way to drive sales through email marketing, and marketing in general.
