Some tips for a successful email re-engagement

It can be quite tricky reengaging customers on email, but consistent communication can make it organic and authentic. Here are some tips:
  1. Provide value first. Ask later. Don't drop the news of launching a new product/service yet.
  2. But if you're launching a new product/service, narrate the story of why you're doing that new product.
  3. Give discounts and freebies, or show gratitude to your customers for their support.
  4. Always ask for constructive feedback from customers.

Chime in.

I have a dedicated email account for Internet marketing, newsletters and "gurus" in general.

It is great for seeing what autoreponders people are using. Great email titles.

Who lands in spam frequently, and who has the class to send me an email with a poop emoji.

Rich Shefren did sort of a comeback email series and it was more or less like a build up to something but did not draw me in enough to keep opening them up.

    That account is competitive!

But the O.P. is spot on to give something away ask for feedback etc.

Even if the reply mail goes to their helpdesk.

  • Stories also help. We found that people tend to keep following us when we share great stories.

You can't bombard your email list with products and new launches i agree The feed bsck is important as well .You can take the feed back and market feed back in the form of a solution .

    Thank you for sharing .

A lot of great tips here. Try to write you messages from the reader's perspective.

They joined the list asking "What in it for me?"

They open your emails asking, "What's in it for me?"

If you help them solve a problem, they will choose you over a competitor because they feel they know, like, and trust you.

    5 Tips For A Successful Email Re-engagement
It is about them, not about you. Don't make your subscribers feel bad about themselves.
Provide a few options for your subscribers. It shouldn't be a case of "all or nothing."
Maintain the personality of your brand.
Make it clear to your subscribers what they're missing out on--and perhaps sweeten the deal.
If you're not sure why they aren't responding to your emails, you should ask them.
