Use Of Demographically Targeted, But Non Opt In Email Data

I have non opt in, but highly demographically targeted email data that derives from a consumer identity graph, built over the course of several years. (under current privacy legislation effective in America, non sensitive personal data may be processed without prior consent, but most states require that you offer them the opportunity to opt out) I would like some guidance from an experienced cold B2C emailer concerning using this data for affiliate offers. It would be particularly helpful if someone could advise ne of the demographic and psychographic attributes they have found effective for certain types of offers. I am prepared to go into much more detail, if someone should respond. Thanks!

Totally agree. I wasted over $100 in raw solo clicks with no opt-ins... until I discovered a filtered source that improved conversions. Open to discuss what helped if anyone's curious.

    Hey dicemartin,

That's a tricky space with all the privacy rules tightening up. For non-opt-in but targeted data, I've found it's crucial to really personalize the messaging and focus on offers that resonate with lifestyle and interests rather than just demographics.

Also, keeping the emails valuable and giving an easy opt-out helps maintain trust and reduces complaints.

Using purchased or non opt-in data can breach privacy laws and damage your reputation. It's safer and more effective to build your list with permission-based subscribers who have shown interest in your niche.
