Which Email Auto-Responder Do You Use?

I've used most of those at one time or another for my clients, but have only two favorites.

Aweber is what I use for the powerful stuff, like my clients that make money off their subscription lists. It gives you the most flexibility and premium features.

Secondly, I use MailChimp. This is what I use for my clients that want to send their own emails, but don't want to risk messing up the template. So we design the template for them, lock most of the sections so they can't edit, and then they can manage their own email marketing.

I've only really used Getresponse.

I haven't dealt with it but I have to appreciate the fact that Aweber gives a warning for too many spam complaints and other problems. You don't get that with GR and it's a tiny bit worrying that my account might be shut down without prior notification of infractions incurred.

Hi Heavysm,

That doesn't sound right? When I hear this one of two things tends to be the cause.
1) The email address that you signed up with GetResponse is not monitored
2) The user was doing something very bad to damage the sending reputation of the ip address.

Our first choice is to work with customers to fix the problem.

Even if your account is shut down, you can still access to your list so you can move it somewhere else.

I've tried Aweber, Get Response, Mail Chimp amongst a few smaller ones not listed above but have voted only Aweber above.

Why? Their support!

It's second to none and besides the DDOS attack a month back they are one of the most reliable.

But yeah, if you're after the best support then you have to go with Aweber. And no, their support isn't just about the simple FAQs but they'll go into your account and customise templates, add features and so on.

I've been using Aweber for quite a few years now. Can't remember exactly how many. I've never had a problem with them.

What boggles my mind is the people who have used them, also never had a problem with them, decided to switch and ended up regretting it.

Must admit though, never tried any of the others.

I like a service that has good tutorials and lets you get up to speed quickly. I got lucky with my first choice!

I see GVO is getting several votes for "Other". Just checked them out and it seems pretty straight forward. Nothing fancy just good old reliable hosting.

Maybe some of the other auto-responders are equally good, but I tried Aweber first and have stuck with it.

I am writing this to recommend it to anyone who needs a new autoresponder! I think it was created by a fellow Warrior as well, since I have seen them advertise on banner ads.

Wow! Just now heard of Sendinblue. They seem similar to Mailjet.

I currently use Getresponse and they got my vote. It came down to them and Aweber, I used them for years, but I wanted to start trying other autoresponders out and Getresponse is working great across the board for me.

Interesting, never heard of them. Looked at their site and i don't see any pricing packages or anything like that except a video landing page. I'm weary of giving my email address for info that should be transparent and upfront. They want your info before you know more about the service and features.

Are you with them now? And, what makes them better than the other autoresponders?

I've used Aweber, and GetResponse. GetResponse is less expensive and they have some intuitive tools you can use to create forms and landing pages on the fly if need be. Also I've used several other popular ESP's but I still like GetResponse the best.

I also have my own dedicated servers, and I have a rack server in my home that I call "yoda"

It's amazing that no one has admitted to using Constant Contact or Campaigner... I've used both but switched over to other autoresponder services. With Constant Contact I had issues with my graphics not showing up on broadcast emails. I liked Campaigner but eventually went with the mainstream... Aweber and GetResponse for another list.

I've used Aweber, Getrespose, Mailchimp and Mail Poet. I prefer to use Aweber. However, I had my experiences prior to that. When promoting IM launches (wc usually run HOT in a couple of weeks and fizzle out later) I take advantage of GetResponse 30-day trial.

I tried MailChimp but I heard (I don't know if this is Myth of Fact) that it's not allowing to promote affiliate and redirect links within the mail (but they do allow promotions through a website with the affiliate link).

I use Mail Poet for my niche blogs. It's free as an Add-on in WP and if you are willing to do it manually, you can actually create autoresponder sequences within MailPoet.

I use GetResponse, I like all the features of it but lately it seems like their deliverability rates are taking a hit. I also have a back up Aweber account and they seem to be better with deliverability right now.
