How do you improve your email delivery rates?

I have a WordPress (WooCommerce) e-commerce site, so I send transactional emails from my server (like user signup notifications, order receipts, etc.), so it's crucial that my emails arrive in my customer's inboxes.

Lately I've been pretty much fixated on improving my email deliverability.

I've setup feedback loops (using this list: http://www.port25.com/list-of-curren...fered-at-isps/) with most of the popular email providers, and I’m automatically handling the spam reports (unsubscribing the complainants).

I also used https://winning.email, which was helpful for analyzing things in my email header, DNS records, or server config, and telling me how to fix the problems.

What other suggestions do Warriors have for improving their email delivery rates?

As long as you send just transactional emails and closely monitor them you shouldn't have any issue.

As a tool I would recommend you to check your ip with : https://www.senderscore.org/

Thanks guys. Yeah I've actually used Email Delivered before, just found them way overpriced for what they're actually doing ($500+/mo).

SenderScore from Return Path is definitely useful.

Do you send emails from your own server? Maybe you wonder if they're being delivered properly?

Deliverability boils down to reputation. I assume you have set up authentication like SPF and DKIM?

It sounds like you're treating SPAM complaints automatically (via feedback loops) but what about other bounce types? Are you manually QAing bounce text and categorising by hard and soft bounce?

Yup, SPF, DKIM, DMARC all setup.

I'll look some more into the bounce handling, it's possible there's things I can improve upon, thanks!

    Transactional Emails should inbox,
Signing up in FBL program is a good move, but I doubt any one will report abuse of a transactional email. as they're expecting it.
The only reason that will make your contact report your email as spam, is hitting Report abuse button by mistake.

Make sure you use your domain as from email, and your business name on the from name.
Keep the IPs you send bulk separated from the one you send transactional.

    Hope that would help you.
