I am in preparations to launch a new affiliate campaign that focuses on free stuff for college students. The site will have several different free offers that reoccur monthly and have no cost for the applicants to sign up.

I have never tried list building in my previous niches and maybe that is why they fizzled out. But I believe this offer is different because for one it's free. No membership fees or upsells or anything. Fill out the form and they are done. So I think I will try composing a subscriber list but I never did a real list building strategy.

What works best when list building? Can I just include an opt in form on my landing page? Or do I need a separate squeeze page? Which is a good, affordable autoresponder? Since my offer is free and reoccurring, should I try to upsell something after the optin?

Granted many college students are on a shoe string budget so I don't want to scare off members who can reapply for the free stuff every month.

Thanks

      Hi Brent,

just read your sales funnel & that is a great funnel i must say

but, i have a little thing to understand here...

As you have said in that post that, after purchasing OTO the buyers would be redirected to a page where eventually they will be put in another campaign in AR.

If i see it from a buyers point of view, he/she would expect to receive the downloads/products after making the payment & not to put email & other info again.

So, how are you gonna present this registration form to a buyer so that they won't feel pissed off to put their email & other info again? What would you say to them so that they wouldn't mind to put the email/name again?

I am gonna experiment your funnel That's why just want to be a bit more clear about it.

I put, "sign-in to access your purchase," and the product name at the bottom of the form.

I've never had anyone complain about this process, ever.

Great to know that. I am definitely going to try it. It just seems so effective yet so simple to implement. Great share mate.

      Thanks :-)

You email marketing software should enable you to do autoresponders.

On the subject of email frequency/reselling after subscribing, you need to think about this carefully. Folks who sign up to email want timely and more importantly, valuable information that's personal to them. Following up immediately with untargeted, sales info might not be a great idea.
