E-mail Marketing Strategy: Thank You WF

First, I want to say thank you WF for adding the Email Marketing section to the WF.

I've been lost the past couple of years always hearing people say "Build a list" "Build a list". And now hopefully we have a direction in this section of the WF for myself and others where people can teach a step by step guide/ approach as to What is e-mail marketing, how is it done, what is a list, how to build a list, etc. etc.

Thanks again WF.

I'm super-excited that this section is here.

You can make SO much money from email... it's completely deserving to have it's own section.

I agree with you, sometimes making your message delivered in a sense that you're not a seller is hard to do.

Building a list is where I had some hesitation.

Now that I'm doing it, I'm seeing way more results ($$$)
now that I have fully focused on it.

Get started list building and take it seriously...

I'm excited too. Can ask questions that I was always doubtful about.
For example, I have a "list" not through list-building but from old employer that went out of business. And now I want to send clickbank style offers and "build" list from there.

Except, NO clue how to go about it.

Can't believe there wasn't one until now. None of the big IM forums have had one and I couldn't understand why considering how vital it is to every successful online business ever.

Kind of strange isn't it. The email section should be one of the main sections here on the forum because it's one of the most important part in every IM Business or at least it should be. I didn't built my list from day one and missed out on a lot of money!

This section is new? It should have been here the whole time! lol

I'm a HUGE fan of email marketing. It has been the core of my business
since I got started and is the core of almost everything I teach.

If I can share one thing with you all right now it's that Email marketing is
not as easy as it used to be 3 or 4 years ago. People are just busier
and have more distractions online so they're giving less time to email.

You've got to be smart with email and have a strategy in place. Churn
and burn might be good for the short term but it's not a long term plan
        for success.

The best advice I ever got was to 'build a relationship' with your list.
I learned that 7 years ago and it's still the best way today... and it will
be in the future. The 'trust factor' is an eternal business principle.
It's not hard to do.. it may take a little more time to see profits, but
it's really the only way to build a reliable email marketing based business.

I have been on WF for awhile now and was happy to see them add a section on E-mail Marketing at the same time I was considering starting out in it. Will be interested in how to go about building a list and getting people signed up.

    Agreed.

They are NOT just names on a list but real people with real problems who if you show just the slightest bit of interest in whilst everyone else ignores them they will reward you for it.

I spend around 2hrs every day answering emails from my list subscribers. Most are amazed I replied as apparently no one else ever does.

I agree that list building and relationship building is the way to go. I don't know why I waited so long to get started. I know we heard the story a million times already about people putting off list building but I was honestly one of those people too. I was doing other methods which worked really great but I can see why list building our ranks them all. Treat your list good and don't spam them and you will do just fine.

    Email marketing is quite fun.

In addition to everything that has been mentioned in the thread, you also get to learn how incredibly stupid some people are.

You all know who that one person is on your list too - don't hate. Lol.

Good on this forum for putting us all together to teach the ins and outs of getting paid for our advice.

I hope somebody start sharing some information here or good experience or good practice for us to learn and follow.

Personally, although I had started building my own list since 4 years ago, I still sucks very much in building good relationship.

Also, one part that I would like to know is if there are good reliable person that we can outsource to do handle the email marketing.

    Please share...
