does penny list building work well?

I am just starting out with building my list and I want a free or cheep way to get subscribers and people to buy my affiliate products that i am promoting. My question is do penny traffic sites really work well for building a list or should i stick with sites that cost more per click to build my list? and if anyone has any suggestions about what free ways work the best any help would be greatly appreciated. I am very committed to this and want to succeed. I know riches are not going to be coming to me over night but I am going to get there in the future.

    It's tempting to go that route where you get cheap subscribers or traffic. And, you have to ask yourself if these people are really interested in what you will be talking about in your emails. If so, then you got the deal of a lifetime.

    If the person didn't willingly sign up for your emails, they will only unsubscribe, no matter how good your quality. Just go the slow route, gaining one quality subscriber at a time.

    Penny, free... I would say that's the problem right there You usually get what you pay for. When it comes to list building even the 2-3 dollar/leads list building services are pretty much useless in my opinion. I would urge you to stay in control of your list building as much as possible to get the most out of your list. What you put in will come back and more (if done right) usually with investments of this sort you can expect a return depending on the value you put in. More important than anything is the control. Create an offer and promote it yourself through media buys. Could be a free offer or not. More ppl will bite the free one, but these ppl are also less likely to buy compared to the ones that you know already bought from you. Buyers lists my friend. Takes longer to build them but they are much more valuable and you can cut most of the warm ups out since they are buyers already.

    I wouldn't go there! I mean, you have to ask yourself, "Why are these clicks only a penny?"

    If you are wanting to put people on your list that may actually pull out their credit cards and buy something that you recommend, I'd go with a different traffic source.

    I agree with all the replies so far, you really do get what you pay for. It is possible to build a list very cheaply for a few pennies per subscriber, however you will likely get very high bounce rates and very low open rates. Even when you are buying tier 1 traffic you will still end up with a proportion of un-opens etc, which will also depend on the content you send them, but with a much better list overall. It is a numbers game, the more high quality subscribers you can get on your list the more affiliate sales you are likely to make.

    Regarding free ways. The best free way to build a list in my experience is through social media. However, it takes a long time to build a following in social media to begin with in order to have a decent following to build your list etc from, so much better just to build your list directly from paid tier 1 traffic.

    one free way is start by adding a signature to your profile. i see that you dont have a signature. the other free way is to post on forums and social media sites. so far i have added 11 subscribers through this method in 4 days. i know that is small but compared to the effort i put its pretty okay. honestly, what i did is just in 2 days. this method is like opening a store and just sitting there without any form of advertising the goods you are selling. because its open, passers-by get to see it and patronize you.

    other faster ways is definitely a paid method - solo ads, adswap (if you already have a list), paid adverts by sending traffic to your squeeze page

    There are better free ways to build your list. These site's will sell you garbage traffic.

    Three free ways:

    Forum signatures
    Videos
    Posting in Facebook Groups related to you niche

    These are not totally free of course because they will all take time. But there is no shortcut to building your business cheaply.

    On average, email marketing is not cheap, meaning for the time/investment you put into your site/autoresponder, etc, each person on that list cost you a certain amount. And even if you don't pay much up front, over time you will. So it would pay to have a very good product to promote and constantly brush up on your email marketing techniques.

    This is something that held me back for a long time too.

    Penny list ...i guess means ...building a list paying a penny per sub..right?

    Well.

    What you should be looking at is ROI.

    Not how cheap your click is or not even size of your list.

    1 penny per subscriber ...and no overall sales ...is BAD.

    Imagine you built a list of 1000 subscribers for a penny each...and they buy nothing.

    What is that to you?

    Imagine another scenario.

    100 subs at $2 each....and 10 buy a $47 product.

    Which of them made you money.

    Focus on ROI...not just getting penny clicks.
