Best way to Grow my list to 10,000 !!

Hey all

I wanna work on building my list
can anyone recommend the best way to make it (10,000 on the cheap and targeted off-course )?

I currently have an opt in on my site with no success so far (offer e-books for exchange )

Solo ads sounds good but to reach a 10,000 list is gonna cost fortune...

Any help tnx

buy solo ads till you get say 500 subscribers and after that you can do ad swaps, in that way you can grow your list

I agree with sreeni, learn the basics and go smaller then bigger try to grow your list 500 then more
solo ads works, banner ads work, get targeted customers

Most people dont know how to build a list properly,

    First things first why 10k?

I just got back from a seminar this weekend which cost me $5k to attend.

The speaker was teaching how he makes $300k per month from a list of 40k subscribers.

Now reason I am telling you this is because numbers mean nothing and you dont need to spend a lot to make a lot. Nor do you need a big list to make a lot.

Second - do you mind us taking a look at your site?

    Third - Don't do adswaps

10k list is achievable if you have the money to spend on traffic cause you wont reach your 10k goal if you just concentrate on free traffic which also takes time and lots of efforts on your part.

But if I were you I will take it one step at a time and mostly focus on building relationship and trust with the little subscribers that I get cause just like Gavin has rightfully said, you may have 10k subscribers and still don't make $1,000 a month if you don't nurture that list and groom them to be a responsive list.

So start small and work on building trust with the one you get nothing is too small. You'll be surprised to know that you can make even more money with small list if they trust you compared to those with huge nonresponsive list

    Hope that helps

I totally agree with Gavin here...
having a 10k list won't necessarily mean you'll be more profitable...
that's just not how the game goes...

I know of people with 20K lists the barely get to 3K a month...
and I know of people with 3K lists that almost break the $5k a month..

It's about the PROCESS you put your subscribers into, the funnel you have and the things you promote...

Since you asked for *any* help...

My suggestion is never use "I wanna...". Ever. Anywhere.

Don't mean to be obtuse but it's just so amateur'ish and immature --- it will be difficult to see any success, however you define it, if you are not serious about what you WANT to do.

It's analogous to walking into a job interview with your jeans hanging way down below your waist and your sleeve of tattoos on display. .

Edit: I guess if your list is of immature adults that relate to "I wanna"... well then ok. I am wrong and I admit it!

This is true... don't take this to heart. Just take note.

Wanna assumes you're not to sure...

You should be certain that THIS IS IT! This is what i am going to do and I am going to stick to it until it happens PERIOD.

No half heartedness and NO Exit plan.

James is giving you some tuff love. But it's awesome advice that has massive impact on your life and business.

Why not focus on building a small list first that you provide a lot of value to. If you do things properly you'll see nice profits from that small list and you'll have no need to have a big 10k list just to make some money.

Smaller lists filled with responsive subscribers over huge lists of people who don't open and click anyday.

Because with Ad Swaps you share your subscribers with dozens, if not hundred of other Internet Marketers. Do you really want that?

As you probably saw a million times, you have to take care of your subscribers, not flood them with ad swaps, solo ads and so forth..

If you're selling solo ads. adwaps is cool to get started.

If not it's a no no, heres why:

You'll basically kill your list and attracting a lot of freebie hunters.

Imagine getting an email everyday from Eben Pagan and he is promoting a squeeze page for a free offer.

I wouldn't stay subscribed for long.

The person that does stay subscribed - what's their mindset? Is that a buyer?

For some strange reason some people seem to think doing adswaps is providing value to their list because they get a free gift. This is not the case.

      Buyers don't like this.

My mantra is if I wouldn't like it done to me don't do it.

Don't do things purely to grow your list you have to think about how it damages your list too.

If I were ever to do an adswap it would be with someone I know personally and i know has a quality list. And i'd probably do only once a month if not less

Its not something I'd do purely so see numbers on a screen and feel entertain / validated that I'm getting leads.

Getting leads isn't even half the battle nowadays. Getting traffic and leads is easy.

Converting them into big numbers $$$$$$ most people cant do so they turn to solo ads because its easy upfront money.

Selling solos and doing swaps Is a great way to get started making money but long term... (Not to sure)

The people doing very well at selling solo ads know how to convert and normally the clicks they sell are after the subscribers have been through there funnel.

I am not knocking its just not for me.

So yeh that's my long winded explaination on why you should stay away from adswaps.

      Quality over quantity
