Building A List From Scratch Advice Needed

Hi I am starting out building a list from scratch could someone provide some insight on how to do it in order, I have squeeze page to finish and a free video to offer

    Hey, depending on what niche you are in it is pretty easy, It just takes time and dedication. Just remember never stop. Get that squeeze page up and start sending traffic towards it. Solo ads are a good way.

    I agree as I am a big proponent of taking a basic understanding and just get it going, testing and learning as I go. But that is just my style and I know it doesn't work for everyone.

    To add a different idea: instead of advertising traffic, or better, in addition to it, perhaps try contacting and engaging your prospective customers via email. This is more about engaging them and having REAL conversations with the ultimate goal of leading into your squeeze material (whatever that may be).

    Edit: I meant to include this caveat: sending out initial emails with your offer or even an invite to your squeeze material is NOT what I am describing and most certainly not engaging them into discussion. I'd say that would be more along the lines of spam.

    It's mostly about driving targeted traffic to your squeeze page (which is exactly the same principle as driving targeted traffic to any web page).

    One of the easiest is to join social media group and advertise there. I have quite good conversion rate from Facebook and tweeter when I started out to increase my list.

      Don't forget to join some forums in your chosen niche and contribute quality content. Just google it with quotes: "niche + forum" . Then have your signature lead back to your funnel. Good luck

      I think Gavin's point is important. Driving traffic to the page is all well and good, as long as you make sure to drive the right traffic with the right message.

      There's a ton of ways to get the traffic, but you probably want to figure out your ideal customer's profile and pains first and build a message around that to get them to your squeeze page.

    next is to get an autoresponder
    send traffic to your autoresponder
    create an email campaign or a email series
    build relationship with your subscribers as your list grows
    dont focus on selling now; just build and earn trust with your subscribers.

    You mentioned Squeeze page...Have you gotten an email marketing service ready?

    Have you written up to 7 emails that will help build a relationship with your subscribers ...and at the same time sell them stuff?

    If everything is set-up correctly... the next thing is to drive traffic to your squeeze page.

    You can do it in 2 ways....

    Paid or FREE.

    Paid is faster ...but free is time consuming.

    For free...you can start with guest blogging...or joining a forum where your market hangs out so you can interact with them.

    paid is banner advertising and other kinds of ads like PPC and the likes.
