Best bulk email (not spamming) plateform, mailchimp vs easysmtp vs isp smtp vs....

Hiya,

I want to target local business for my directory website, it`s really not spamming as i go manually on each website to take their email address and only target the niche i want as customers (restaurant, hotels, boutique etc..)

I like to know your viewpoint on the best way to send them email, should i go with mailchimp (really this one seems the worst options because of their policiy and other warrior problem had with them) or easysmtp or my local isp smtp server or any other options ?

That`s not an autoresponder, it`s really a one shot deal (maybe an autoresponder like aweber still a viable option, don`t know) where i ask they if they would like to be featured on my directory, just to create a relation where i would check a couples of day after (for the one that accept) how i can also help them by doing a review of their website, offering them some of my service.

My target is to have the best open rate + i don`t want to go in spamm folder

Also i like to know if you have other tricks like not putting the word free in the subject (can i use free in the body ?)

Thanks All
Yvon

Don't even think about it: they'd close you down in no time.

You can't use an autoresponder service for what you're proposing to do, because it involves sending out unsolicited, bulk email.

(I wouldn't want to be a customer of an autoresponder company that allowed its customers to do that, because its deliverability-rates for my own subscriber emails would be dreadful!! ).

I agree with Alexa on this one. Just because they advertised their email in a directory doesn't mean that you are at liberty to use it. I'm afraid that is still classed as spam. You need their permission for you to send them the messages.

Hope this keeps your account healthy and prosperous

Thank you for the video, very interesting
For the spam stuff, i only send email to business that have their email on their website and here in canada it`s see like implied consent if they don`t say otherwise, so no spam problem

Yes, Like I said, I set up a amazon server and use amazon, they have an email service, its 10 cents per 1000 emails sent. It's amazing. You have to keep the bounce rate at 5 percent, and you have to keep your spam clicks down, but with the right copy, you can do this, even with unsolicited emails.

We also use software to pull emails from such said websites.

I would run those through a funnell first, to verify that they are good emails, often those emails you retrieve arent even valid.

You could do like 1000 per week with a company like mailchimp, they provide 1000 free,

and you slowly filter out the bounces and what not.

      Hello Yvon,

I highly recommend using Mandrill for your SMTP server. The deliverability is great and you can send up to 12000 emails/month for free.
