Hey warriors, I'm facing a problem with gmail inboxing.
I'm using Aweber AR. Almost all of Gmail confirmation mails goes straight to the spam folder.
Also I use typical aweber confimation email (which should increase inboxing rate).
What I have done: bought a new domain, added SPF record to DNS. But nothing helped.
I already contacted aweber support, hopefully they will help me out.

How do you deal with spam folder?

There are a lot of variables when it comes to spam box delivery rates, so it's a hard question to answer.

However, a big factor i feel is the content in your mail, as it gets scanned by the email providers to determine where it ends. So make sure you write good content, adn avoid spammy words and you should see better results.

Also ask people to whitelist your email address to increase your inbox delivery.

You need to tell and show people, as soon as they've submitted their email address, how to take the first email out of their spam folders and put it into their in-box, and explain the whole "Gmail position" clearly to your subscribers, so that they can start by taking the appropriate actions to be sure of receiving your future emails (and the download link to the "free report" you've promised them for signing up).

    Using text and pictures helps.

The more clearly and the more quickly you explain to people (especially Gmail users) "how it works and why", the more often you'll hit in-boxes and the higher your open-rates will be.

Once they've missed a couple of emails, it's too late to get them back. What's important is how you start, the second they've clicked the "submit" button. Just like almost everything else in email marketing, it's about continuity. Anything that can break your continuity-process costs you money.

As far as I understood, default aweber confirmation mail should be ok? Because they won't put it as their default if it don't got to inbox. All of other follow up emails are doing fine, but their inboxing rate is killing me.. Already contacted aweber and they said that they "tested" my opt-in and said that it went to inbox... But on my own tests, like 3/4 of gmail mails lands to spam... Also if it would work I wouldn't have 100+ paid subs who don't see the email, because it's in the spam folder.
After they submit email, I tell them that they should check their spam folder, but I doubt many of them do that... Its sucks that I can't fix it and I waste money on solo ads for testing...

Yes; many people do that, and continue to have this problem.

The answer to your problem is in post #3 above, Rokas. But you have to be willing to do all of it, to solve the problem. A half-hearted attempt to tell people to "check their spam folder" probably isn't going to be very helpful at all.

I have a hunch it may have more to do with the content of your emails than it does with sending to gmail. I say this as a gmail user, where I seem to have no probelms getting aweber emails in the correct tabs. I do scan the spam folder from time to time, and do find an occasional non-spam email, but the senders are scattered over multiple services (not just aweber).

What I have noticed, especially in the IM/MMO area, is emails with links to products that have been spammed tend to get caught. Not because the specific sender is spamming, but because "this email contains a link that has been identified as spam."

        I'd look there first.

Have you considered trying Icontact? Personally, I 've found their gmail delivery rates a bit better than that of Aweber

In our recent study, we discovered that gmail is giving lot of weight to user engagements.

Gmail is making email marketing just like SEO, it looks for different signals to judge the quality of your content.

You have to be very careful about quality of your email content in order to consistently hit gmail inbox.

By user engagements I mean, how many mark it as important, how many people actually read, how many actually click your mails. All these signals together create a matrix for determining quality of your email content .

If you send crappy subject lines like "Here is your paypal payment" or send bundle of affiliate offers then forget about any chance of hitting inbox, no matter which ESP you use.

Also, if you mail with such subject lines twice a day then it is even harder to make to inbox.

Try to make your content more valuable and appealing. Make subject lines more relevant to content and you will see more inboxing with gmail.

Also, stick to a single sender name, gmail can base your reputation based on what sender name and email you are using. Dont keep changing your sender emails as this directly affects your gmail inbox rates.

Our recent data is showing that GMAIL is becoming number one ISP in terms of new user mail boxes. Our study showed that in last 1 year, more than 50% of new subscribers to our customers lists are GMAIL.

This was not the same few years ago. Gmail use to be 10-15% of typical marketers lists. But now new data shows that it is approaching 50% of new subscriptions and soon Gmail will be #1 ISP in terms of user mail boxes.

So therefore gmail is too big to ignore now, so marketers really have to take gmail seriously and produce quality email content.
