Methods To Get More Email Subscribers To My Site?

Hello, I have a fitness related website and I have around 50ish emails that subscribed to my blog. I want to up the number by a lot because 50 is nothing lol. I have a subscribe widget on the front sidebar of my site and under some posts. If you know of any email subscribe/newsletter widgets that are really good and for relatively cheap or for free please comment below. I would be greatly appreciated

Also if you know of any techniques to increase email subscribers please comment below, thanks!

The best way to get subscribers is to use a simple popup software that offers a free gift to those that are joining your mailing list. I think that instead of the widget (non-visible in most cases) it'll be a better idea to use a popup, but NOT one that's going to get your visitors pissed, but something nice like a light box popup or something.

Shoot me a PM with your website address and I'll see what are the options for you to get more subscribers.

    Cheers,

    Mike

Sign-up for Aweber and put a lightbox on your site. Building a list with "free" resources is not recommended.

    Side bar
    Bottom of every article
    Landing Page
    Free incentives.

These are a few of the stuff you can be doing.

Or you can create landing pages and direct traffic to that page to get some opt-ins.

Keep creating great content that people want to read and share.

Setup a Facebook page. Post your content and link to your blog. Run some ads to get the traffic started and keep posting on a regular basis.

You haven't mentioned how your traffic is doing.

If the traffic is plenty, then we should have the discussion about which type of opt-in form is best.

If the problem is traffic, and getting people to even see your opt-in form in the first place, then you need to talk about getting more traffic.

Once you have the people coming to your site, the question is how to get them to opt in.

To add to what others have already mentioned:

    - you can use the opportunity in your blog posts to point people to your opt-in form

-you can also have the form show up at the end of every post

-make sure your opt-in "bribe" is one that is hard to resist, but most importantly, the headline for it should be written in a way that the person can't help but subscribe

    G'luck!

You need to understand your traffic to get them to opt-in. Visitors to you site have to interested in fitness in one way shape or form. Provide them free tips on fitness and offer a weekly tip if they sign-up. Continue to deliver value to your list and they will stick around. People will sign-up if you are offering something irresistible for free on signing up.
