I have a list of 800+ subscribers generated it from solo ads here in the warriorforum and it net's me about $250-$300 per month through the offers i am affiliated with such as JVZOO and Warriorplus and soon WarriorPayments!. The concept is easy build your list through solo ads (private solo's not anyone you can trust with solo ads!) and then market them your affiliate or product offers

I'd appreciate a point in the direction of safe solo ads. Where do I go and what criteria do I use to make sure I am getting what I'm paying for? Thanks.

        Hi Jenna,

        Ask for....
        1. The size of the list
        2. The open rates per mail
        3. Average CTR per mail
        4. What type of demographic the list is composed of (if possible)
        5. Frequencies of mailing

        That should be a start...

I have a list of almost 1000 subscribers and I'm not yet profiting from it a lot. ~50 bucks/ month maybe.

Still, not a bad sum of money as many with a list are earning nothing. The important thing is to keep building subscriber trust and get them addicted to receiving your emails and looking forward to what you have to share every day. At some point, you can joint venture with other more successful larger email list owners and that's when you'll start earning from their recommendation of your product on their list.

Don't take this comment the wrong way, but it might be much more motivating to ask "how responsive is your list?" rather than "how big is your list". Size doesn't always matter, y'know?

The biggest list and the highest income-producing list will almost never be the same thing. A list of 1,000 can easily produce more monthly income than a list of 100,000.

With email marketing, perhaps even more so than anywhere else in internet marketing, it's really fundamental to appreciate that quantity alone leads nowhere, and that quality eventually leads everywhere (including, very often, to "quantity", too).

I currently have a campaign around 200 plus subscribers. Generating around $200+ for the first month.

Go for targeted subscribers. Find out who are the one that read your newsletter and build relationship with them.

Aim for raising your customer lifetime value (LCV) instead of pure numbers.

Take a look at this infographic.

If you're more into calculations, then try this: Customer Lifetime Value Tool

Main takeaway is that you need to raise the conversions for each lead (or qualify only responsive customers). Quality matters over quantity. I earn quite a lot from small lists too. Backend sales are very important.

A "Big" list can't always give you higher conversion. It depends a lot on the method of subscription. If the user has subscribed unknowingly (eg. during downloading a free product), by single-optin method. The chances are it won't turn out to be a serious user for your list.
On the other hand if someone subscribes to your list by confirming their e-mail address (double optin method) that list will give you better conversions.

    I have personally experienced this.
I had a list of 1500+ subscribers through single optin and the reports were not very good.
On the other hand a list of 130 double optin subscribers gave me better conversion.

It's unlikely that anyone will be willing to do this for you on commission, because the response rate to those big spam mailing lists is negligible.

It takes a little more work, but you'll have a lot better results from carefully building your own list of people who are genuinely interested in receiving your messages.
